Petit Vour is a monthly vegan beauty subscription box sending the “crème de la cruelty-free.” For only $15 per month, you receive four cruelty-free and non-toxic beauty products, mostly deluxe sample sized but with the occasional full-sized item. Subscriptions are available in 1, 3, 6, or 12-month terms and all items are sans the “Dirty Thirty” and of course free of all animal derived products.

Petit Vour always has the cutest info cards!

The information card gave details of each item. You can purchase the full sizes in the Petit Vour Store and you also earn points for rating your items which can then be used in the store (you also earn points on shop purchases and for referring a friend!). Have you ever wanted to build your own sample box? Petit Vour sells samples so you can basically build your own box!

Everything in my box! I spotted a product from Mettā, which is a brand I’ve wanted to try since my great grandmother’s name was Metta!

Mettā Skincare Intensive Replenishing Face Balm ($12.50) According to the Petit Vour website, this is a 15ml travel size, and not 60ml (as shown on the label.) Mettā is an Australian brand and this rich balm was super soothing for my skin. Shea butter, jojoba oil, and macadamia seed oils are featured along with pomegranate and raspberry seed oils. I rubbed this smooth balm between my fingers and applied all over my face and took a deep breath to enjoy the relaxing lavender scent. My skin loves this product!

I little goes a long way and you can apply to wrinkle-prone areas or red patches if you don’t have dry skin.

Kani Botanicals Galaxy Milk Illuminating Beauty Oil ($16) This is some amazing stuff here! A variety of oils such as safflower, hazelnut, sunflower seed, argan, meadowfoam, and jojoba make this smooth as silk and the scent is incredible, like a day at the beach!

Look at that sheen, like a million sparkly stars twinkling in the bottle! A little of this goes a long way.

Here it is swatched thickly, then lightly patted in, on my arm (plus I wiped my finger on my arm at the top right)…

…and here it is all rubbed in! Yes, it looks a little Tin Man, but here’s how I applied it to my face: I placed a drop on the back of my hand, dipped a highlighting brush in it, and then applied to my forehead, bridge of nose, cheeks, etc. I then used a different soft makeup brush to feather it a bit. My outcome was subtle, but I am sure you can layer for a more intense or dramatic look.

Formulary 55 Rosehip & Clay Facial Mask ($6) (The packaging says .75oz; the Formulary 55 website says $8 for 1oz) The directions say you can use this as a mask to draw out impurities, or as a gentle facial scrub. I was in a hurry so I went with scrub. I mixed half of the contents with a bit of water to make a paste and then rubbed it all over my face for a minute or two. It wasn’t too harsh but it sure looked funny; I resembled an Oompa Loompa from the 1970’s version of Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory!

French white and pink clay, rosehip powder, ground comfrey root, and organic rose geranium essential oil are the simple ingredients. This was a winner, but I suggest rinsing in the shower as it might stain a washcloth. Also, the scent wasn’t overpowering so if you’re not a fan of rose scented products, you might just like this anyways.

Little Barn Apothecary Blue Yarrow & Geranium Cleansing Oil ($8) This cleansing oil is made with sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, castor oil, yarrow oil, and geranium oil. I applied 4 pumps of this oil into my hands and then massaged it onto my dry face for a minute to loosen impurities. I then soaked a washcloth in warm water and pressed it to my face, so the warmth would loosen any makeup or dirt. Then I rinsed and followed with a toner to see if it worked. While it didn’t remove every trace of makeup, it did remove most of it, so I went ahead and followed with a creamy cleanser. If you have dry skin, you may want to reverse the order: use a creamy cleanser, and then follow with this to leave your skin moisturized.

Petit Vour is one of my favorite subscriptions and this box had products that were perfect for me! I tend towards drier skin so the oil cleanser and moisturizing balm were right on target, as was the gentle mask/scrub. As for the illumination oil, what a wonderful product – it made me happy just LOOKING at it! This month’s box had a value of around $42.50, which is more than double the cost of the box!
