I received a packing slip listing out the items. This review is based on serving 8 ounces, twice a day for two weeks and costs $30.00 every two weeks. Odie and Daisy’s names are listed on the packing slip. Bella is taking Daisy’s place in the review because one of the ingredients is poultry fat. I am unsure if it contains chicken.

Here are the items in The February Naked Dog Box! I can’t wait to check it out. It sounds super-convenient and what I need in my life with the dogs living at the main house and the farm house. There have been times when my sister said those dreaded words, “We need more dog food.” It always happens when I am ready to retire for the day.

I was curious about The Naked Dog Box because we spend a lot of money feeding our dogs quality dog food. Our doggies are not only our pets, but they also perform farm duties at the farm. OK, not Odie because he is a happy-go-lucky doggy that doesn’t realize he is part Border Collie.

Odie and Bella are eager to try out the food and treat. I took that as a good sign! I currently spend a minimum of $2.25 a pound on Bella and Odie’s food. I spend approximately $3.74 a pound on Daisy’s food. Daisy has food allergens including chicken which is why her food cost more. The Naked Dog Food that I received is $2.14 a pound.

I received a 14-pound bag of Turkey & Pea Dry Dog Food that should last two weeks. I say should because the cats occasionally eat the food too.

Midna proved my point! She jumped on the table as soon as I brought the bowl over for a photo.

The packaging is no frills which do not bother me because it has the pertinent information. The flavor, best-by date, weight and lot number is listed on the package. The package is sturdy with a wax type lining on the inside.

Turkey is the first ingredient in the Naked Turkey + Chickpea Formula for dogs. I compared the Naked Dog’s guaranteed analysis against their regular dog food. Their regular dog food has 32% crude protein and 3% crude fiber compared to Naked Turkey + ChickPea Formula which has 26% crude protein and 7.5% fiber. The numbers work for my dogs!

The Naked Dog suggests one scoop in the morning and one scoop in the evening based on my dogs’ needs. I can also choose to feed the dogs two scoops in the morning instead of spacing them out during the day. I admit to not measuring their food because the cats will eat their dog food. Strangely, the dogs usually ignore the cat food.

Time for the surprise treat! The dogs were waiting impatiently to try out the Zukes Mini Natural Duck Dog Treats (6 oz, $3.65). The doggies thought that the made in the USA treats were woofilicious.
