lookfantastic Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription from the UK. This box is currently $22 per month, but goes down to $16.50 per month on an annual plan and ships free to the US and Canada! In every box, you’ll get a hand-picked selection of must-have beauty fixes, which are wrapped in a beautifully presented box and delivered straight to your door. It will always include a minimum of six products and the latest issue of Elle UK!

There is a magazine by Look Fantastic in each box as well – this includes the product information, makeup tutorials, style highlights, and other features.

Catwalk Queen Vitamins (15 day supply) ($6) I was surprised to see vitamins! Containing Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, as well as Biotin and other minerals to promote health skin, hair, and nails. These won’t replace my daily vitamin but are a good addition to my routine. The bottle is half the size of the retail product, so 2 doses a day would last 15 days. I will likely just take it once a day for a month and see if I notice any changes.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA ($4.34) When I first clicked in to The Ordinary’s website, I thought I had accidentally clicked a link for a chemistry class. The skincare line is VERY in-depth in terms of how many options and combinations there are, with explanations being given down to a molecular level that went WAY over my head. Here’s the description for this product:

Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. NMF are made up of multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin. This formula offers non-greasy hydration that acts as a direct topical supplement of impaired NMF components. It contains 11 amino acids, phospholipids, alpha/beta/gamma fatty acids, triglycerides, sterols and sterol esters, glycerin, ceramide precursors, urea, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid. It offers immediate hydration and lasting results with continued use.

tl;dr

Science guy - Because Science

The product itself is a really nice moisturiser that I wear both in the AM and PM. The Ordinary is from Toronto, Canada, so I’m pleased to see it represented! (They also have headquarters in the UK and Australia). This is a full size products and honestly, the prices on the website are darn impressive! Presumably they want you to follow the regimes they suggest which is usually 3-4 products working together with SCIENCE!

Borghese Fango Delicato Active Mud Mask ($3.66) Borghese’s mud masks are famous and I’m excited to try! The Delicato mud is especially for dry and sensitive skin.

thisworks Stress Check Breathe In ($7.37) I have always wanted to try this line of products; their sleep pillow spray gets rave reviews. The Breathe In line is aromatherapy to help ease stress. The Breathe In roller ball contains eucalyptus, frankincense, and lavender oil among others. The small size makes it easy to slip in my purse.

ModelCo EyeLites ($19) I thought this was a highlighter but it’s actually a creme eye shadow! It’s a new product and only available in one shade, but it’s a universally flattering metallic peachy/champagne shade. It wore really well and didn’t rub off.

Polaar Icy Magic Instant Eye Contour Energiser ($21.10) This is another full-size item! I was first introduced to Polaar through LookFantastic previously with their famous lip balm. The Icy Magic roll-on is a cooling treatment for the eye area. It treats puffiness and dark circles. You can also use it on the lash line to encourage growth.

Here’s a swatch of the ModelCo shadow!

This month’s box had a value of around $60. This has got to be one of my favourite boxes! All of the items are really interesting and I had a lot of fun looking up more information about them. I’m especially excited to try the Borghese mud next time I have a shower, and I am loving the Ordinary moisturiser and Polaar eye energiser and have been using them religiously since receiving them. The vitamins are definitely something different and the other items are high quality as well.
