Fred’s Box is a children’s subscription box containing custom made mini figures. The figures are compatible with all leading brands of building blocks and, due to their tiny size, appropriate for children aged 4 to 13. You have the option to select boxes geared towards boys, girls or unisex. Each month’s box features a different fun theme.

The box is kid-sized and conveniently fits through the letterbox.

This month’s theme is Ninjago!

The box includes 6 figures that closely resemble characters from the franchise, plus a bunch of weapons and accessories.

There’s the red ninja, Kai, dressed in full battle gear. The kit included his sword of fire.

We also have the multi-elemental Lloyd Garmadon, the green ninja.  Here, he is outfitted with a giant set of nunchucks! I assume these must be one of Kay’s nunchucks of lightning.

And it also included Cole, the black ninja.  The fig’s heads don’t have all the character-specific details, just angry brows. Their ninja face wraps are very detailed.

What are ninja without a master? We also received Sensei Wu.

Also included in this bunch is female figure that I don’t recognize from the series.  I think it may be Nya with a new hairdo.

Lastly, there’s a fig of Pythor P. Chumsworth, leader of the Serpentine, with the white skin tone he acquired following the climax of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu.

Fred’s mixed it up a bit, including three of the five main protagonists along with the extras that make playing a full scene possible.

The figures in Fred’s Box are all of high quality and well designed. The subscription is a great option for children (or adults!) who want to build their mini-figure collection – discovering each month’s surprise theme makes the process of collecting all the more fun!
