Craftly is a bimonthly subscription box that sends 4 high-quality, small-batch products from various categories such as art, tech, snacks, grooming products, home goods, and more. It’s $29.95 and shipping is free to the U.S. You also have the option to send this as a gift. The subscription will automatically renew until you cancel.

Craftly recently made some changes to their subscription. It’s now sent every other month and you can personalize it if you like. You can choose from classic or bold, male or female, delicate or musky scents, complex or simple flavors, or choose “surprise me” in each of those categories!

The theme for January/February is “Awake.” This box has products to help you get your day off to a nice start.

The product information gave a description of the items included, retail price, and where to find more.

Everything in my box! I couldn’t wait to try these items as they are all-natural and I had never heard of these brands before. Plus, tea!

The Rich + Clean New Standard Face Wash ($5.75) is suitable for all skin types and is gentle with a slight minty freshness. Tea tree oil is anti-microbial while aloe is soothing and it sudsed up just enough. I used it with the face towel shown below and it removed all of my makeup without drying my skin!

Plus Ultra Hello Gorgeous Adult Toothbrush ($6.99) has a compostable bamboo handle and soft bristles that were easy on my gums. Environmentally friendly and works well!

Davids Premium Natural Toothpaste ($7.95) is a very good, effective toothpaste! This one is free of fluoride and SLS and uses calcium carbonate to polish teeth and remove stains and xylitol to reduce plaque. There was a key included to help you get every last bit out of the container.

This toothpaste is also vegan and cruelty-free and left a minty fresh taste. I’m in love. With toothpaste.

Morihata Binchotan Charcoal Face Scrub Towel ($10.72) has charcoal powder woven into the fibers of this washcloth to remove dirt and other gunk from the pores.

Instructions for the use and care of this product was included.

I preferred the softer part of the towel although the underside wasn’t too abrasive. Just rinse and hang by the loop to dry.

I received Big Easy Tea from August Uncommon Tea ($4) but it looks like some subscribers received Outlaw.

I loved the steeping instructions! This tea has a sencha green tea base along with pineapple, lemongrass, and orange.

I wish I could share the smell of this tea with you. It smells soooooo goooood! I need this in perfume form. It has a caramel aroma with notes of pineapple and had a light flavor and no bitterness. I prefer strong, dark, black tea but this made a very nice change.

I have been reviewing Craftly for several months and it just keeps getting better. My box had a value of $35.41 which is below their goal of $40 but above the subscription price. I will actually use these items and enjoyed this box of nicely made products from small businesses and Craftly is now one of my favorite subscription boxes. Some of the past boxes seemed very juvenile but this one was perfect for my tastes and I love the new Craftly!

I have an honest question….why would you want a toothpaste without fluoride? Isn’t that what prevents cavities? I do not wish to offend anyone I just honestly don’t know. I have seen that a lot in these natural boxes where they have a toothpaste without fluoride but I never understood why.

      Maybe an allergy thing?

Dawn, that’s a great question! Fluoride is a toxic substance and if you read the back of the usual toothpaste cartons there is a health warning that says to contact poison control if you accidentally swallow more than the amount you might use for brushing. Some people will avoid fluoride at all costs, just like some people choose to follow a vegan lifestyle and some choose not to vaccinate. Whether a person chooses to use fluoride in their toothpaste or not is a personal choice and it’s always nice to have options either way. Please note that I am not a healthcare professional and if you have any other questions please contact your doctor or dentist for answers!
