The Book(ish) Box is a monthly subscription of literary inspired items. Every box contains a t-shirt and 3-4 other literary items. This month’s box contained items from different stories either written by women or about women.

There’s also some good news from The Book(ish) Box this month.

We are so excited to share, after getting tons of requests….

The Bookish Box will now offer the option to have a YA book included in your box! When you sign up, you’ll have the option to select one of multiple box options. Current subscribers can switch box style by simply editing their account at login!

The theme this month is “Galentine’s Day.”

“My lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies!” – Leslie Knope, Parks & Recreation

I received 5 items in my subscription box.

This month’s box is inspired by Valentine’s Day and Girl Power.

My first item is a shirt from Appraising Pages. It came in a blue color with a quote “We didn’t talk about anything heavy or light. We were just there together and that was enough.” It is from The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I have not seen the movie but I will. It is about a freshman in high school who gets befriended by two seniors in high school. I know I couldn’t have gotten through high school without my closest friends.

Next item is a set of buttons to share with your best friend. They are from Jar of Buttons. I’m not sure yet who I will be sharing it with yet as several of my friends love to read books also. I may just have to order more.

I received a nice new coffee mug from Drop & Give Me Nerdy. It has on it a quote from Maggie Stiefvater, “People shout when they don’t have the vocabulary to whisper.” It is from her book the The Raven Boys. This book seems to be interesting. It too is about a group of friends. Where will we be without friends?

I love the bookmarks that are sent each month. Each one has an inspiring quote and beautiful watercolor. This month’s bookmark from Lexy Olivia has a quote from Anne of Green Gables. Even when my friends are in another state or another town, we are always there for each other. Do you have that type of friendship?

My last item is from Appraising Pages, it is a necklace called Fangirl Nerd Glasses. Instantly thought of a friend from school. TEEHEE. I think it’s adorable. Do you ever have those moments when you hear or see something and it either reminds you of a friend or something you did with that friend? It just makes you smile, doesn’t it?

[Note from Brandy: IT WAS ME! SHE THOUGHT OF ME!]

Even if you didn’t have a Valentine’s this year, just remember you have your friends!

Tell me what you thought about this month’s Bookish Box!
