Black Coffee Only is a Canadian coffee subscription service for black coffee drinkers only. Because their coffee is too good for milk or sugar! For $22 CAD a month (about $16 USD), you’ll get 12oz of a coffee from a different region every month, with the roast of your choice (lawless light, manic medium, deadly dark), or you can let Black Coffee Only choose your roast (roasted roulette)!
The black box came in a plastic envelop to protect it and it’s content, keeping the box pretty and free from shipping stickers!
To follow their Black Coffee Only theme, everything in the box is black! It gives a very classy look and puts you in the mood to get some of that black liquid! I’m actually surprise they left the inside cover a neutral colour. If you go on their Instagram, their photos are also in black and white. Commitment to their motto, I love it! There was also a couple of loose coffee beans in the box. Probably on purpose, giving the box a nice coffee scent!
This month’s coffee is a smooth and light Costa Rican coffee with a hint of honey and lemon. To be enjoyed black. Always.
We received the medium roast, and it smells amazing! I’m not the Black Coffee Drinker in the house (shame on me, I take it with a bit of milk!), but my husband only swear by the black stuff.
And he looooves his pour over coffee. He used a V60 filter holder, with precise weight of the coffee and water, with the water heated up to 205°F. He’s taking his Black Coffee seriously! Sorry for the red in this picture, it’s the closest black and white mug I had!
He’s usually a dark roast black coffee lover, I prefer medium roast myself, but he said the coffee was tasty, slightly astringent, smooth, and fruity. I had a taste and it was very good!
