Bespoke Post is a great way to indulge yourself with high-quality lifestyle enhancements. Bespoke Post is a men’s lifestyle subscription box offering sophisticated accessories, gear, and curated interest kits. The monthly limited-edition boxes are built around a central, unique theme, and there are usually two or three new boxes to choose from every month. You can also skip the month if you’re not interested in any of the available boxes.

This month’s theme is READY.

DEAL: Save $9 on your first box with coupon code FREEBEER.

The front side of the card introduces the items included in this curation, providing product info and insight on why the items were chosen in the context of the current theme. When Bespoke features clothing in a box, they pick something that is eminently practical or helps you overcome a true challenge – in this case, inclement weather.

The reverse side of the card always has the beginning of a useful article on some point of mastery related to the curation. Longer articles continue on the Bespoke site. This article reminds us of the little extras that can make travel smoother and avoid lost opportunities when out and about.

You also get a copy of Bespoke Post’s magazine, The Post. This is a hardcopy version of Bespoke’s digital magazine.

This is the inaugural issue of this magazine. It features tons of articles and stories – this issue talks about how to survive the long and cold winter. It provides some great suggestions on picking the perfect booze, upping the style of your various vices, and generally becoming more sophisticated.

Everything in the Bespoke Post READY Box.

W&P Design Dual-Walled Water Bottle: This bottle has everything needed for towing along a pleasant beverage on your next adventure. A carabiner style hook and key ring provide options for handling, attaching, and embellishing your bottle. The exterior features a powder-type coating and elegant sunset scene.

A screw top with silicon gasket keeps everything sealed in tight. The double-walled design keeps hot items hot for 12 hours, or cold items cold for 24. Plus, the insulation prevents cold beverages from making the bottle sweat – great news for your furniture or other items in your bag.

The interior is smooth and easy to clean.

The bottom of the bottle has a tiny mirror in the center. This can be used to signal aircraft or spot any parsley your minestrone might have left in your teeth.

People’s Choice Old Fashioned Beef Jerky ($6): Nothing says adventure like beef jerky! People’s Choice sounds like a store brand, but it is actually owned by the People’s Sausage Company, who has been in operation since the Depression Era.

This is the least processed jerky I’ve ever seen packaged for sale – it has very few ingredients and absolutely no preservatives.

The pieces varied quite a bit in size – each was a few inches in length, but differing in thickness width and shape.

Simply seasoned, this jerky tasted of garlic, salt, and a very rich beef flavor. The taste was slightly salty, but that is likely because the salt wasn’t masked by incorporation in soy sauce.

United By Blue Steele Packable Parka ($48): This handy, packable parka is a must-have for any temperate climate outing. It is water and wind resistant, a perfect outer shell to have handy. Packed, it fits comfortably into small backpack or can be tucked away in your vehicle for when its needed.

This jacket was available in two colors, an olive green or blue. Obviously, I chose the latter. I love the color! It has the faintest tone of green, like the tiniest hint of dark cyan or cerulean mixed into the blue, making a vibrant, steel blue shade.

The left breast features the United By Blue logo. The closure is full zipper, with no snaps to hassle with. The hood has a toggle-secured elastic closure.

Pains have been taken to make the jacket durable. The fabric is rip-stop, but the structure of the jacket adds to the toughness, too. Whereas most jackets have all seams meet in the armpit, this jacket moves that seam out to the front and back to avoid placing strain on it.

A toggled elastic band cinches the waist. A vertical-opening pocket lay on each side of the waist.

The cuffs have a great elastic to prevent water infiltration. It fits snugly, without constriction. I like how narrow the band is, too – it rests at the joint of my wrist instead of laying, wet, against my hand.

The pouch is attached to the jacket and hides in the small of your back when the jacket is worn. I love that the interior seams don’t have any extraneous lining on them – I have a jacket from another manufacturer that has plastic strips sewn in at all the seams, and they eventually tear out and become a pain (and no longer block water).

The pouch can be accessed from the back and makes a great extra pocket.

The entire jacket packs neatly into the built-in pocket, and there is no separate pouch to lose track of.

A flap runs along the inside of the zipper, preventing pinching and keeping water from leeching through to your clothes underneath.

This was a very practical Bespoke Post, and the main item is one I will get lots of use out of this year. They have tons of great stuff to choose from every month, from sophisticated housewares and man-cessories, to rugged clothing and hobby kits, and new boxes are added all the time.
