The information card is loaded with info on this month’s brand and featured items!

The information card highlighted the benefits of the ingredients in the various products in this hair care line.

Every Beauty Hero box comes with its own sidekick item, and this month it’s the Harmonic Healing Oil.

The hero products in my March 2017 Beauty Heroes box! The first thing I noticed is that they were for dry, thirsty hair. Mine is the exact opposite. These were selected because they are the exclusive-to-Beauty Heroes launch of the Hydrate Collection.

Innersense also makes Pure Harmony, a gentle line for normal hair, and I would have definitely preferred that line because it would have been suitable for my hair type. Nevertheless, I tried them all out together.

Innersense Hydrating Cream Hairbath ($28)

Cleanse hair and boost hydration and strength from the inside out with this rich, creamy shampoo derived of coconut oil, shea butter, avocado and tamanu seed oils. Essential oils of sage and ylang ylang provide balance for a healthy scalp while nourishing emollients of jojoba and rice bran oils soften and smooth the cuticle for shine and bounce. Deeply hydrating yet lightweight. This luxurious formula renews hair’s moisture balance without residue.

Innersense Hydrating Cream Conditioner ($30)

An emollient-rich conditioner for dry, coarse and thirsty hair, this luxurious formula boosts hydration and strength from the inside out. Shea butter, tamanu and flax seed oils nourish and mend; monoli oil and aloe strengthen the hair follicle, smooth cuticles and control frizz. Deeply hydrating yet lightweight.

Innersense Sweet Spirit Leave In Conditioner ($22)

Increase moisture with Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner, a lightweight detangling spray that blends natural oils, fragrant herbs, flower essences to condition, and a touch of honey to add body and manageability. Hair is perfectly balanced and ready for any style. Sweet Spirit can also be used on dry hair to revive or restyle. The natural lavender fragrance makes this a refreshing delight for the senses.

Each product in the Innersense line has a suggested “Hair Ceremony” to center yourself before your shampoo/conditioner/detangling. I don’t think appreciating clean hydrated hair had any effect on my results.

As for the products – they were way overboard for my hair. The shampoo had the consistency of a typical creme rinse, and the conditioner was so thick that it reminded me of a bottle of dried out conditioner. If you received these items and have coarse, dry hair, you would have been quite appreciative. My hair got some nice curls one day but overall, was a little crazy train, and I’ll be passing on the bottles to someone with hair more suitable for the products. The spray conditioner didn’t work great, and left my hair feeling sticky.

The scent was nice on all the items – not particularly dominant, and a bit reminiscent of the Aveda scent, but not as strong or memorable.

Innersense Harmonic Healing Oil ($22)

Increase moisture with Harmonic Healing Oil, a rich blend of sacred healing oils and flower essences. With Certified Organic Safflower and Evening Primrose Oils combined with the healing properties of sacred Tamanu Oil, HHO is ideal for soothing dry skin and scalp. This luscious oil is rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and antioxidants. With its anti-inflammatory properties it is ideal for deep tissue massage or for anywhere skin is dry or irritated. Create harmony and heal the spirit one drop at a time.

I was happier with this item, because I could use it on the dry patch on my scalp, and anywhere else on my body that needs extra moisture.

The value on this box was impressive – $102 retail. However, I wouldn’t repurchase these products (or even use them all up) because they aren’t right for my hair. I imagine the reception to this box is about 50/50 – dry and curly hair beauties probably loved this box! I felt that it would have been best for both the brand and this box to poll subscribers as to hair type and send out the fine/normal products to those who needed them. I love the ingredients in these hair care products and would be more than delighted to try out the right products!

My hair is not dry. It is coarse with waves and curls. I loved the shampoo which had a pleasant scent. My scalp felt clean. I do love a creamy conditioner but could not find the right balance of usage for my hair. Too little left my hair tangled. I had no curls when I used too much. It did create easy to manage, no frizz hair that looked suitable in a professional environment.

I am going to have my sister try it out when she visits at the end of the month. Her hair is dry!!! I think it will work great on her hair. I’ve been using the healing oil on my nails.
