Meal Time Box is a meal to your door subscription box made with fresh high-quality ingredients and delivered every 2 or 4 weeks.

Everything was packed well in a cooler box with several large ice packs keeping it cold. Each meal is carefully vacuum sealed in one or two packets. The meals will be good in the fridge for up to four days or in the freezer for longer storage. And, you don’t have to worry about freezer burn because the vacuum sealing helps prevent that.

Meal Time Box‘s chef selected subscription box consists of five meals that rotate to five different meals every two weeks. You can choose the 10 meal box for $8.90 per meal or the 20 meal box for $8.45 per meal. You will also get two free desserts with your box.  Shipping is free when you subscribe.

We received the 10 meal box (two of each meal) for our review.

They also offer a la carte meals that you can choose from for $19.98 for a two meal bundle ($9.99 a piece). Shipping is free for orders over $75.

They have a limited shipping area right now, but if you are anywhere close to their area, call and see if they would be able to ship to you. I am a little out of the shipping zone and they were willing to work with me.

Our first meal was Chicken Shawarma with white rice and veggies. “A staple of the international street food in New York. Packed with flavors of garlic, spices, and a little lemon juice. Served with our own yogurt white sauce.”

This garlicky Middle Eastern dish was abundant in cinnamon which gave it an almost floral taste. It was a delight to the taste buds with flavors that rarely venture this far South. I was reading that it is a popular New York City street food, but I had never heard of it. It was delicious and paired nicely with the rice and veggie mix of corn and edamame.

The second meal in our box was a savory Guinness Beef Stew.

This was a thick stew of beef, potatoes, onions and carrots that was the perfect antidote to a chilly night. It was a good, hearty stew like grandma used to make. Comfort food at it’s finest.

The next dish was Miso Chicken with white rice and carrots. “Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting soybeans with salt and koji and sometimes rice, barley, or other ingredients.”

The chicken was flavorful all the way to the bone and very tender. Yummy!

The fourth meal was Pork & Pineapple Stir-Fry with brown rice and greens.

The pork was so tender that I thought it was chicken at first. And the pineapple lent the perfect sweetness to the savory flavor of the other ingredients. Their brown rice is my favorite! The greens had a great flavor, but the center stalks were just a little tough.

The last of our five meal varieties was Korean Fried Chicken with roasted potatoes and carrots.

The Korean Chicken is one of my favorite meals from Meal Time. The chicken is spicy (but not overpoweringly hot), retains a slight crunch and is tender and flavorful.

Two Turtle Brownies from ARV sweets were the free desserts in the box.

I say it’s not a decent brownie until you top it with nuts! And, these were covered in delicious walnuts. The crunchy nuts were the perfect topping for the soft chewy brownie.

Meal Time Box is a family favorite at our house! We love the home-cooked convenience without all of the pots and pans to wash! My daughter particularly loved the Chicken Shawarma from this box, she said that she has never tasted anything like it!  Meat Time is a delicious and convenient way to do dinner.
