Here are the delicious treats in the January Orange Glad.
J (age 8) was excited to see the Quin Candy Artisan Lollipops (3 pieces, $3.90). We received Strawberry made with ripe Oregon strawberries, Blackberry which included the seeds, and Cherry made from Oregon cherries. J pronounced them yummy. His favorite was the cherry which had a sour taste to it.
The Sweet Lydia’s Original S’more Cookie ($3.83) is made with a gourmet vanilla marshmallow. The cookie had a slightly crunchy taste with a soft middle.
I thought it was delicious. My husband was disappointed that it was not as crunchy as a regular S’more.
The Fatty Sundays Milk Chocolate & Sweet Toffee Pretzel Rods (3 rods, $3.49) had a delectable taste of sweet and salty.
Crunchy toffee coated the pretzel. Yummy!
The Shotwell Candy Hand-Crushed Espresso Caramels ( 4 pieces, appx $2.38) are made with 100% Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee beans. The beans gave the caramel a slight berry flavor.
You can see the crushed beans in the caramel.
The Shotwell Candy Co Craft Beer & Pretzel Caramels (4 pieces, appx $2.38) are made with Ghost River Brewing Golden Ale. They are stickier than the Hand-crushed Espresso Caramels.
The pretzels gave the caramel a salty, satisfying crunch.
The January Orange Glad Box was a discovery of scrumptious treats. It had a different feel for me this month because I was already familiar with three out of the four companies featured. I don’t dwell on the value of the box because food box values tend to be low. However, it came to around $16.00, so be sure to use the coupon. Everything tasted fresh and was easy to share with my family. It’s a great box for discovering new treats.
