Herb Stop is a locally owned small business out of Pine, Arizona that offers the Aroma Box, a monthly essential oils subscription box. Along with your aromas, you will receive a description of each oil, 3 tips on using each oil, as well as any safety information. Seriously, it’s just $19.99 for all of this!

FYI – The Aroma Box is always available through the end of the month!

DEAL: Save 15% on your first box with coupon code HELLO15.

This card stock sheet gives you a detailed description of each of the oils.

Each oil is described and then it gives you an aromatherapy tip, a tip from Leilah (the Master Herbalist), a tip from Natalie (the other Master Herbalist), and any safety precautions. There is a nice color picture of each herb and the details are easy enough for the newest essential oil enthusiast to understand. I am keeping all of these in a file for reference. They have some great information!

The first oil in this month’s box was Bergamot (1/6 oz).  The full-size bottle is $12.10 for 1/3 oz. “Breathe in this familiar scent of Earl Grey Tea! This sunny, refreshing, bitter-sweet citrus has been used for uplifting mood, reducing inflammation and strengthening immunity. Bergamot has earned a spot on this month’s Aroma Box because it is known to relieve anxiety, sadness, and nervous tension and is the bringer of joy. Emotionally, Bergamot inspires emotional fortitude by encouraging confidence, courage, and optimism.”

I don’t know if I felt more courageous, but it I did absolutely love the was that this oil smelled. It was all citrus-y and light with a floral edge. I could wear it alone as a perfume. Lovely stuff!

I was relieved to read the Safety tip on this one. This Bergamot is bergapten free (the stuff in citrus that causes photosensitivity issues.) So, you can feel free to apply on sunny days.

The second oil in this month’s box was Fir Balsam 1/6 oz.  ($13.80 for 1/2 oz.)

“Fir’s rich scent has a crisp and clean balsam scent. This essential oil has many traditional uses including as an expectorant for respiratory complaints, relieves muscle aches and pains and is stimulating. Fir appears in this month’s Aroma Box because of its use for encouraging grounding, compassion, strength clarity and inner unity.”

This oil smelled like a log cabin in the mountains at Christmas time. You know how a certain smell can carry you away? This one will wrap you in a fuzzy warm blanket in front of a warm fire with a hot cider in your hand and a Christmas tree with handmade ornaments in the corner.

I liked Leilah’s tip for this one. “Create a homemade potpourri by going outside and collecting what is available – pine tips, pine cones, juniper berries, etc.  Scent with a few drops of Fir to bring the outdoors inside.”

The third oil (there is always three oils and a roll-on in the box) was Nutmeg 1/6 oz (1/3 oz for $13.99).

“This warm, rich and complex essential oil is used by herbalists for several ailments including muscle aches and pains, arthritis, digestive problems including indigestion and flatulence. Nutmeg makes a splash in this month’s Aroma Box because it warms the emotions and inspires feelings of self-love and commitment.  Emotionally, Nutmeg is excellent for individuals that are at the “end of their rope”, seeking change, and looking for energy – emotionally, mentally, and physically. Nutmeg is a very powerful essential oil and should be used sparingly. Read the safety tips before use.”

I liked the Aromatherapy tip for this one. “Inspire yourself with a drop of Nutmeg and Petitgrain. (If you have been getting the Aroma Box for a while you will already have Petitgrain from one of last year’s boxes.) Keep this blend handy and inhale when you need to make decisions.”

Lastly, is this month’s full-size roll-on, New Beginnings ($16.95). These are my favorite! They are blended and ready to use. I usually have one or two tossed in my purse for essential oil emergencies. This one is a blend of grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, lime, orange, tangerine and rosemary in a base of jojoba. This one smells delightful! You know what it smells like? Summer, orange popsicles, and the beach.

Herb Stop Aroma Box is a great value! For only $19.99 a month you get three essential oils and a full-size roll-on. I am all about a deal, and this is a good one!!! And, I love that they send me oils to try (and all the information on how to use them) that I wouldn’t have thought to try on my own. I didn’t even know nutmeg oil was a thing?!
