Fit Snack is a monthly subscription box delivering healthy nutritious snacks directly to your door. Every month expect 7-10 full-size items plus samples of delicious and healthy snack foods.

Fit Snack curates its boxes according to the following criteria:

  • Each product always containing two or more of the following: GMO-free, high in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural.
  • Plus, we add in bonus items such as energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages.
  • Finally, we find a little space for exclusive workouts, workout gear or other active lifestyle inspiration.

Here’s a look at the yummy stuff in the January box!

DEAL: Save $3 on your first box! Deal applies automatically, just visit and subscribe.

One side of the information card gives a workout (with more details available at the Fit Snack blog). Not surprising for the January box, the theme is “New Year New You!”

The other side of the information card tells you a little bit about each of the products in the box (and coupon codes for most… also, the box included a few paper coupons for some of the products). In this month’s box, I was excited to see an old favorite (Made in Nature Figgy Pops) as well as some totally new to me products (Salad Power Juices).

Salad Power Juices: I was excited to see these juices in the January FitSnack box, especially since one of my New Year’s resolutions is to eat more veggies. These drinks contain a ton of veggies, a little bit of fruit, and a lot of goodness in each box. As their website says, it’s kind of like drinking your salad! I enjoyed both of these – I preferred the pineapple, but that’s probably because pineapple is one of my favorite fruits of all. The vegetable taste was pleasant and not overwhelming; the fruit taste was light and refreshing. I would definitely consider buying these to get more veggies into my diet. (PS – when the box says “drink cold,” they mean it… not nearly as pleasant when room temp!)

Purely Inspired Organic Greens: Here’s another product that should help with my veggie eating resolution! I’m not a big fan of supplements, generally, but this could be a great boost for my diet. I have added it to smoothies a couple of times. It did not add any unpleasant taste or odor to the smoothie – pretty much I just tasted the fruits I was using to flavor my smoothie – which I guess is part of the point… it’s like a veggie sneak attack!

ChocoRite Protein Bar: I’ve tried these protein bars before. They aren’t my favorites – but they fit the FitSnack criteria and are convenient to toss in your purse or your desk for an emergency snack.

Chops Beef Jerky: I love beef jerky and this is really tasty beef jerky. Tender, moist, and easy to chew – nothing like the old “shoe leather” type beef jerky I ate growing up. This is delicious. I like the original flavor, but I’d also love to test out the other flavors Chops offers – like cracked pepper. Yum!

Keen One Chipotle Quinoa Cup: I love having products like this in my desk drawer for days when I find myself unexpectedly working through lunch (or when I forget my lunch bag on the counter at home, which happens surprisingly frequently). I haven’t had a chance to try this one out yet, but I’m looking forward to it. I’m a big fan of chipotle flavor and quinoa, so it looks good to me!

Made in Nature Figgy Pops:  I’ll be up front with you. I first tried out Figgy Pops in another box of healthy snacks and they are now my absolute favorite healthy snack. They are basically little balls of energy, made from fruit, nuts, and coconut. They are a perfect size for popping in your mouth while you’re out on a run or cycle, but I also have started keeping a bag in my desk drawer for an afternoon pick-me-up. I am obsessed with Figgy Pops, so of course, I was delighted to see them included in this month’s FitSnack box!

This may not have been my most favorite FitSnack box ever, but the products were definitely spot on for January and the “New Year New You” theme. (I can’t be the only one who resolves to eat more veggies, right?) Anyway, like I mentioned above, it is great to try out new products that fit your health and wellness goals as well as see products you already love.
