Doki Doki is a monthly Kawaii subscription box from Japan Crate. Every month you’ll receive super cute Japanese items – accessories, stationery, plushies, and other adorable Japanese goodies.

DEAL: Use coupon code HELLO to save $3 on your first box!

Love this cover art by Anubis!

The theme this month is Valentine’s Day!

Each crate comes with a manga-style booklet to help you figure out what each item is (that means it’s bound on the right side instead of the left!).

The middle of the booklet contains all the information about the items. There’s a little comic and more fun stuff!

Everything in the February Box!

Berry the Lovebird Plushie: It’s a new Doki Doki exclusive character!

Mago & Beri (they spell it 2 different ways) are lovebirds that are in love! They love tea and bickering.   I received Berry, she’s a cutie!

Lovebirds are perfect for the V-day box!

Studio Ghibli Totoro Chopsticks ($10.85) Subscribers received My Neighbor Totoro chopsticks in Totoro, mini-Totoro, or Mei-Chan!

These are a fun item from the Studio Ghibli classic – a nice design & useful! Whether or not you like them probably depends on whether you’re into this box for the cuteness factor or the Kawaii/Japan factor.

Fashion Jewels Cherry Hair Clip ($1.12) This is cute and the cherry motif is always fun, but an AliExpress item? Seems a bit like filler to me.

Hello Kitty Fluffy Warm Socks

These are super similar to the cozy socks in the January Yume Twins! We can never say no to HK cuteness on our toesies, which still need to be kept warm this time of year!

Chocolate Pen ($1.10)

The ink on this pen is chocolate scented, and it’s a fun novelty!

Meiji Meltykiss Limited Edition Intense Strawberry ($4.88)

These delicate goodies have sweet strawberry centers with very melty chocolate outsides!

This limited edition flavor was phenomenal. I loved every bite and found it difficult to share. Very difficult. They totally melt right on your fingers so you just gobble them all away.

Valentine’s Day Hoppe-Chan

Yay, it’s Hoppe-Chan! She’s super sweet this month with a cupid’s arrow and glittery red heart! As always, her little gem cheeks glisten.

Even though there were really 2 filler items this month, if all the unknown-value items are about $5, I still come up with a $33 value, so I’m not disappointed with the value of this month’s crate. Even for kids (which this box is perfect for) I would prefer fewer, higher value items, so I’m not totally in love with the box, but I still received an adorable Hoppe-Chan, wonderful chocolate (that I’ve never tried!), Totoro chopsticks, and Hello Kitty socks! That’s a pretty great box!

What did you think of this month’s Doki Doki Crate?
