Bespoke Post is a great way to indulge yourself with high-quality lifestyle enhancements. Bespoke Post is a men’s lifestyle subscription box offering sophisticated accessories, gear, and curated interest kits. The monthly limited-edition boxes are built around a central, unique theme, and there are usually two or three new boxes to choose from every month. You can also skip the month if you’re not interested in any of the available boxes.

This month’s theme is STIRRED. Lots of good options to choose from this month, but I had to grab this box for the coupes!

DEAL: Save $9 on your first box with coupon code FREEBEER.

The front side of the card introduces the items included in this curation, providing product info and insight on why the items were chosen in the context of the current theme. This set has all the elegant basics needed to set out a stellar drink service.

The reverse side of the card always has the beginning of a useful article on some point of mastery related to the curation.  Longer articles continue on the Bespoke site. The goal of most article is to offer lifestyle advice that will make it more likely others will describe you as a “bachelor” instead of a “loner.” This article sets out the pros and cons of shaking versus stirring, and the proper setting in which one should use either technique.

Everything in the Bespoke Post STIRRED Box.

W&P Design Cocktail Coupes ($24): These lovely glasses are shaped like a short-stem wine glass that has been cut a third of the way up the bowl of the vessel (hence, “coupe,” French for “cut-off”), and they are the glass of choice for many classic, twentieth century cocktails.

The coupes are made in the USA and are dishwasher safe. They are perfect for margaritas, Manhattans, sidecars, or any drink best served potent and straight up.

W&P Design Mixing Glass, Bar Spoon, & Strainer Set ($49): The mixing vessel is also made in the USA and safe for the dishwasher.  It has superb clarity and fits comfortably in hand. At 32 ounces capacity, it has plenty of room to mix up four rounds of drinks for your coupes, or enough room to stir up some chilly beverages with a pile of ice.

You can see a  bit of swirl at the base of the vessel from the crafting process, and the refracted light reveals the thick base.

The lip is folded into a handy spout. It helps prevent spillage when pouring (a required feature on a vessel in which one can prepare four rounds of strengthy beverage).

The bar spoon is made of stainless steel and is sized just right for the mixing glass. It has cool looking twisted handled that doubles as a grip enhancer.

The julep strainer is designed for grabbing big mix-ins, like muddled mint, before they land in the glass. It is also handy for grabbing any ice cubes that tumbled over the mixing glass’ spout when serving.

Sugar Plum Provisions Demerara Sugar Cubes: These rugged-looking cubes enhance any drink that calls for a bit of sugar.

They look great sitting on a bar cart, and demerara sugar has a higher molasses content than white sugar, so your drinks acquire a richer flavor and a more classic vibe.

I usually view Bespoke as a fasttrack to outfitting a bachelor pad, but this kit is also really apropos for just about everyone. Here I’ve mixed up a non-alcoholic batch of strawberry lemonade to showcase the kit.

The kids got a kick out of using adult glasses.

Bespoke Post has great stuff every month. Usually I don’t know that I need the stuff until I see it – I knew I needed the coupes for my home bar, as I’ve had to use alternative glassware for many cocktail box reviews (I had no idea how essential a coupe was until I started mixing actual drinks from recipes and serving to spec), and Bespoke read my mind. The mixing vessel is great, too. It is perfect for entertaining, with a much nicer presentation than a shaker jar, and it lets you mix a batch of drinks and set for a spell, refilling at your leisure.
