Scentbird For Men is a monthly cologne and eau de parfum subscription. Each month, you get a thirty-day supply of your chosen cologne in a deluxe-size sprayer.

When you join you fill out a profile – including three of your favorite designer fragrances – then you make a wishlist of colognes you’d like to try. Your first month includes a case to hold your current cologne sprayer. You can add extra cases to an existing subscription for $12.95.

DEAL: Get your second month free when you use this link!

Your first month will include a little cologne vial case and velvet holder. The case looks nice and is great for protecting your cologne when tossed in a gym bag or Dopp kit.  You just twist it to spray.

Scentbird decants the cologne from the manufacturer’s bottle to a little glass vial with a 8 ml sprayer. The colognes are 100% authentic, but the repackaging and single-month portioning saves you a ton on the price over the full bottle.

A card teases next month’s featured scent… NOTTING HILL!

The back gives you more info about the featured scent next month. It describes the main notes of the fragrance – if you see your favorite component notes listed, it can be a great way to get ideas for your queue – what you receive the next month is determined by your queue.

There’s also a card that shows a demonstration on how to use the vial and how to replace. Twisting the case raises the vial, and the spray top makes application easy. You can reuse the case for all your vials, swapping them out as often as you like.

The top of the vial is adorned with the Scentbird logo.

My January selection was MALIN+GOETZ Dark Rum! This scent is balanced enough to work for either a man or woman. The top notes are a subdued bergamot and sweet plum, with some rum notes presenting early on. Patchouli, amber, and leather creating an inviting base, and they are more warm and powdery than they are smoky or musky. Perhaps most interesting is the milky note buried within the fragrance – I’m not sure if one could really sense it without inhaling directly from a pulse-point, but it is a pleasant, sweet note just like a Milkita candy!

I like perusing fragrances on the site and grabbing those for my queue that interest me. I can preview the composition and profile of each to screen out things I don’t like and target my favorite scents. Each bottle has a ton of fragrance, and they are the real deal from the best designers, so you can try their newer offerings or revisit popular classics. FYI – there is no gender divide with this subscription – ladies can add men’s fragrances and vice versa, and you can share if you’d like, or get a second subscription if you find it impossible. This month’s selection is sold as a unisex fragrance.
