Inside the box, a lot of green squiggles and green tissue paper. Everything was loose in the box, but there was so much package material that it wasn’t an issue.

This month’s kit is a Night Owls Embroidery Kit! I looooooove birds, and these owls are so cute!

Everything needed was inside a plastic bag. We have an embroidery needle, embroidery floss in three colors, linen-cotton fabric with printed design and an 8″ embroidery hoop.

The instructions are pretty easy, just follow the lines! This kit was made by Megan at Studio MME and she also runs an embroidery subscription service. Out of curiosity, I’ve looked at her stitches guide and everything is well-explained and seems easy enough for a beginner!

Looking through the green squiggles, I found a Scratch sticker, two raven pins (they are ADORABLE!!!), stork snips (you can get yours for $4), thread conditioner, and a milk caffeinated chocolate bar with a cute little Owl design! We are seriously in bird territory! (I love it!)

Look at those two cute owls! The project was pretty easy to do, you just had to follow the lines! This is a perfect project for a beginner, not overwhelming, and if you liked the kit, Studio MME offers a subscription service where you get a brand new kit every month delivered to your door! This is also a nice and quick project to do between two bigger, with a nice end result.

Wow, what a great box for the beginner or practiced embroidered. Thread Heaven is magic! I highly recommend it to make stitching easier!!!

Ditto that! I’ve been organizing my stash this week and my thread heaven is my most treasured item. I haven’t been able to stitch much lately because of 4th quarter. I think Catherine did a lovely job and she might inspire me to get out of my counted thread zone (I don’t want to call it a rut!). I love that this box rotates through different styles of crafts.

Don’t know if you saw my very late reply to your Just The Threads June box, but Sulky 12 wt. is approximately 2 strands of floss.

I usually wax for threads, but I’ll admit that Thread Heaven is magic! And unlike wax, it didn’t leave any residue on the fabric.

FYI, Beeswax is not recommended because it discolors threads and fabric over time.
