Pampered Mommy was a monthly subscription box is a delightful box of items carefully curated for those of us who shepherd the tiny people of the world. Each box contains 5-7 bath and beauty products and other useful presents with mommies in mind. I say was, because Pampered Mommy has now transitioned from a subscription service to a one-time gift box service. So, you can still get awesome Pampered Mommy boxes, you just can’t get them in subscription form. I’m not gonna lie. I cried a little. Here’s there blog post about the  transition.

The box was full of delightful items which were explained on this product information card. The price of the subscription was $29.99 a month, plus shipping. This is a good deal considering the retail value of this box was $78+.  Their new gift boxes range in price from $29.99 to $59.99 and have a variety of items that would be pleasing to moms at a range of stages of motherhood.

Everything in my box!

The first item in the box was Matcha Sugar Scrub by Pulse Skincare Co ($14.95). “It’s holiday season, which means lots of parties (and pictures!), are you ready for your close up?! This all-natural scrub is gentle enough to use on your face, but powerful enough for your whole body. Use it to exfoliate, moisturize, and leave skin feeling soft and smooth.”

It’s a hideous shade of green, but it scrubs beautifully. I loved the way it made my face feel. The scent was mind clearing, akin to eucalyptus oil. Lovely stuff.

This Starfish Project Necklace ($37.99) was next. “Add a little something extra to your outfit with this pretty necklace! All jewelry by Starfish Project are made by exploited women who have escaped human trafficking.”

It’s a cute little necklace, but the story behind the Starfish Project is what is beautiful. They endeavor to help women that have been victims of trafficking take back their lives by providing them with vocational training, health care, shelter, counseling and education grants for women and children.

The third item in the box was this Chi Keratin Mist ($15). “With all the festive gatherings to attend this time of year, you may be styling your hair more than usual. This strengthening leave-in treatment helps to protect hair, leaving it shiny, silky, and manageable.”

This product did help my curly hair be a bit less frizzy. I sprayed it in slightly damp hair and it worked nicely.

The fourth item in the box was these two little soaps from Greenwich Bay Hand Soaps ($4). “Add some holiday flare to your guest bathroom with these French-milled, luxurious, vegetable soaps. They are made with shea butter, essential oils, and natural extracts.”

I liked the Cranberry Chestnut one on the right best. The little square shapes are cute to keep next to the sink.

These Sea Salt Roasted Chickpeas from The Good Bean were in the box. “Throw this healthy (and delish!) snack in your bag for a quick refuel you can feel good about. Only 90 calories, but packed with 4 grams of protein and fiber!  Certified gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free, vegan, non-GMO, and kosher.”

These were light and crunchy. The flavor kind of reminded me of corn nuts, but they are not as hard. They made for a nice snack that satisfied a salty craving in a healthier way than potato chips or the like.

The last item in our box was this Immaculate Organic Classic Sugar Cookie Mix ($6.50). “Santa is going to need some cookies soon! This mix is the perfect shortcut to delicious, homemade sugar cookies without the hassle. Kiddo approved!”

I haven’t made these yet, but I have bought baking mixes from this company before and they were very good, so I am looking forward to these!

I am going to miss the Pampered Mommy subscription box. It has been a delightful subscription that always seemed to anticipate what this mommy needed to make me smile every month. Fortunately, they are not going away altogether, you can still order curated gift boxes from them.
