We ordered *a lot*! We have our favorite items and we like to mix it up by trying the new seasonal items as well.
Pumpkin Spice Nom Noms: I loved these seasonal goodies, which are little cookie bites that are primarily oat, with a lovely pumpkin and spice flavor. They’re quite moist due to the pumpkin in them, and they have chocolate bits, too!
Pumpkin Spice Yogurt Almonds:Another seasonal goodie! almonds are enrobed in yogurt coating (not hydrogenated!) and pumpkin spiced! Such a hit with my 8-year-old.
TIP: When the snacks are new or say LIMITED TIME ONLY, grab them right away, don’t wait. Although we have our faves that we get every month (or try to), not all snacks are available all the time.
Sourdough Cheddar Pretzels: The pretzel within these bites is very nice — it gets close to Hanover sourdough pretzels in quality of taste and texture, and it is far beyond that of your ordinary non-sourdough powdery pretzel. The cheese coating is a nice accent flavor, and one can really taste the hoppy and malty notes of the real beer that is mixed in!
Asiago & Cheddar Cheese Crisps: One of our frequent reorders, these are good snacking. The cheese is nutty and sharp, and the texture of the crisps themselves are like crunchier slices of palmier pastry. Yum!
The Asiago gives the crisps a nutty, tangy note that makes them more satisfying than just the cheddar alone would be — which means you may be able to resist eating them all in the first sitting.
Kung Pao Pretzels: A long-standing favorite of ours. Waffle-style pretzels are coated with a tangy and spicy coating that packs just the right amount of sweet and heat.
There are always a few in the bag that are absolutely blasted with the coating — we fight over these!
Dark Chocolate Almonds: These almonds are roasted and coated in a crisp turbinado and sea salt candy coating, then covered in dark chocolate. They’re very good and the bite of salt prevents you from going whole hog on the bag!
Jalapeno White Cheddar Popcorn: YOW! This popcorn is SPICY! Really delicious, and really spicy. Just as delicious as the first time I got it.
Dark Chocolate Berry Trail Mix: This is a delicious mix of cranberries, golden raisins, chocolate bits, cashews, almonds, and walnuts.
Coconut Cashews: Sweetened cashews crusted with coconut – rich and delicious, but not too terrible for you! A few bites are all I needed.
Zesty Nacho Curls: These are spicier than we imagined, and no way they are really made out of lentils and chickpeas! (Spoiler, they are!)
Teriyaki Beef Jerky: This isn’t super moist jerky, but it’s moist and had a nice, sweet teriyaki flavor. I would get it again, but I’d get 2 bags if it was spicier.
Dark Cocoa Nom Noms: Chewy little cocoa oat cookies with a dark rich taste, but pretty healthy!
Mini Cocoa Belgian Waffles: These have the same great tender-crisp texture of mini Belgian waffles, but flavored with a nice dose of rich cocoa. Like the regular version, they are not particularly sweet, but they are addictive nonetheless. Our 2-year-old is crazy about these!
We love NatureBox and I think the new model is perfect for how we use it – for seriously stocking up on snacks for our family. Depending on your eating habits and family size that may be 5 bags or 10 (we’re usually 10+!). One of the things we especially like is that the bags zip right back up, so we can keep snacking on fresh goodies until the next box arrives!
