The iPen Box December 2016 Subscription Box Review

Hello Subscription may earn compensation via links in this post. Read the full disclosure

The iPen Box is a monthly subscription box that offers varieties of pens, paper, and inks every month, delivered straight to your door. For only $30.00 per month, you’ll get 6-9 new, unusual, cool, and innovative pens and paper products based on a monthly theme in every box.

The Standard Memorandum 2017 ($11) This is pretty cool! It’s based on the old pocket journals back in the 1900s. It’s very skinny. The inner cover includes a ruler!
There’s not a lot of real estate for writing, but it’s still handy if you prefer to keep track of appointments by hand.
Snowfall Postcard. Another pretty postcard to send out this holiday season!
Jinhao Fountain Pen ($8) OMG, this fountain pen has holo on it! (I’m a proud holosexual). Rainbow holo glitter is on this fountain pen, and I love how pretty it is. I actually haven’t filled this one yet — I’m not sure how long ink stays good for, do you fill it only before using the pen, is there a certain amount of time to be able to keep ink in the pen before it dries out?! These are questions this fountain pen newbie has!
Diamine Tropical Glow Ink. In November’s box we were sent a red Diamine ink and now we get to try the shimmer ink! This turquoise blue has a shimmer to it I can see in the bottle! I haven’t used it yet (see above) but I like the silver sparkle in it.
Avery Ultra Tabs. I like these tabs that are like folder tabs – you can write on the paper part and easily see the section you’re looking for!
Highlighters. Bright-colored highlighters, a staple for any desk!
Uni-Ball Signo. This pen is a gel ballpoint and it writes very smoothly; I am taking this one to work with me and will fight anyone who tries to take it.
Winterfresh Gum. Weirdly I get excited about American gum? We don’t have the same brands here. And it’s Winterfresh, for winter!
Christmas Tree Eraser. This is so adorable!
The December iPen box was very fun! I am obsessed with my new sparkly fountain pen and equally sparkly ink! I am already wondering if I should delve into exploring fountain pen samples and this has opened a can of worms for me. The other office supplies are high quality and essential staples.
