The box comes with a mini magazine with a feature on a woman that changed the world. Maya Angelou was an amazing woman that inspired many women as a civil rights activist and author.

The table of contents makes it easy to find information on the items. The January theme is ‘Pretty * POWERUL.’

Each brand has an information page that provides detail on the company and the item.

Here are the items in the January Covet Crate Lady Boss Box. The pink and gray colors are already making me happy.

Peruvian Link Alpaca Fingerless Gloves

You had me at Alpaca. The Peruvian Link Alpaca Fingerless Gloves ($25.00) are warm and soft. The durable gloves will be often be used including when I am taking dog pictures outside in the winter. I’ve been wearing them in the house because I love how they feel against my skin. It’s only January, but the gloves are my favorite item for this year.

The Peruvian Link works with Peru producers who are fairly compensated for their work.

Antique Silver Feather Bookmark

I love receiving bookmarkers! The Antique Silver Feather Bookmark ($2.00) is included to keep your spot in the January book.

The Art of Non-Conformity by Chris Guillebeau

I’ve read the first couple of chapters of the The Art of Non-Conformity by Chris Guillebeau ($12.13) and enjoy the personal style in which it is written.  Amazon describes it as

If you’ve ever thought, “There must be more to life than this,” The Art of Non-Conformity is for you.

Based on Chris Guillebeau’s popular online manifesto “A Brief Guide to World Domination,” The Art of Non-Conformity defies common assumptions about life and work while arming you with the tools to live differently. You’ll discover how to live on your own terms by exploring creative self-employment, radical goal-setting, contrarian travel, and embracing life as a constant adventure.

Inspired and guided by Chris’s own story and those of others who have pursued unconventional lives, you can devise your own plan for world domination-and make the world a better place at the same time.

My oldest is graduating from high school this year which is making me feel a little lost. I’ve been thinking about what will be the second act of my life and want to be prepared by the time my youngest graduates from high school. This book may give me some direction.

It’s a 20-minute Powercoaching Session from master POWERcoach Kristi Hemmer! Kristi Hemmer is the founder of AWE, Academy for Women’s Empowerment. Schedule your appointment by the end of January for a session that is to be completed by March 31st. Share with us what you think of the session.

Covet Crate Notebook & To-Do List
Inside

The 100 sheet Covet Crate Notebook & To-Do List ($7.00) can be used to take notes in the coaching session on the blank pages. I like the set up for writing down tasks throughout the day.

St. Tropica Hair Masks

I’m all about the hair and will gladly use the St. Tropica Coconut Hot Oil Hair Masks (1.50 oz ea, $3.99 ea, $7.98 total). The first ingredient is certified organic virgin coconut oil which helps make hair stronger and more lustrous. I’ve used this mask before and been pleased with the results, especially on my ends. St. Tropica products are raw, vegan, cruelty-free and earth friendly.

The Indoor Garden Shop 6 Piece Flower Magnet Set

The Indoor Garden Shop 6 piece Flower Magnet Set ($6.00) is beautiful. The resin flowers have a neodymium disc magnets on the back. The owner, Erin, woke up on her 35th birthday and decided to make and sell magnets and thumbtacks. That is inspiring.

The magnets are super strong. My eight-year-old enjoyed playing with them. They are on the fridge hanging out with all the geek magnets.

All the above items are in both the Girl & Lady Boss Crates.

Elbrus 5 Piece Handmade Bonbon

The Elbrus 5 piece Handmade Bonbons ($10.00) were much too pretty to keep in a box. The Girl Boss Crate received the Handmade Chocolate Bark (4 oz, $6.00) made with raspberry and coconut shavings, Kat Geyer, an artisan chocolatier, created the stunning bonbons using the finest chocolate, spices, and fruit preserves from around the world.

Ingredients

The delectable chocolates were created in small batches with no nuts or added preservative.

Copper and Turquoise Bonbon

The mouthwatering Copper and Turquoise BonBon had a luscious Belgian chocolate taste with a bit of caramel that was followed up with a Himalayan salt aftertaste.

Strawberry Preserve BonBon

My husband ate the Green and Red Bonbon which had strawberry preserves and balsamic vinegar in it. All I could get out of him was it was delicious.

Amy’s Funk Fibers 100% Silk Custom Hand Dyed Scarf

The arresting Amy’s Funky Fibers 100% Silk Custom Hand Dyed Scarf is in the Lady Boss box only. The stunning colors complement the items in the box. The scarf was custom created for January’s Lady Boss Covet Crate. The luxurious scarf is silky smooth and brightens up a grey day.

Gorgeous

Amy is a self-taught fiber artist that hand dyes each scarf separately creating a unique finished piece.

I wasn’t able to find the sweater that I wanted to wear with the scarf. I love the vibrant colors and plan to wear it soon.

Bonus Candies!

The January Lady Boss Covet Crate is perfection as a professional woman’s lifestyle box. and fit the theme “pretty*powerful.” The book and coaching session gives the professional woman tools to advance her career and be powerful. The remaining items are pretty and make me happy! I loved the color theme, and everything will be used except for the coaching session because it is a review box. I  loved all the items in the box and had always enjoyed the curation. The Lady Boss value is over $120.00 without the coaching session and over $220.00 with the coaching session. It’s a great box that will encourage and inspire you.

I loved this box! I got the LadyBoss Crate. The yummy feeling alpaca gloves and that gorgeous scarf were my favorites, but I haven’t tried the coaching sesh yet. This was my second Covet Crate, and I have been pleased both times!
