Bluum is a subscription box service that sends products for moms and babies to your home each month. Bluum curates its boxes by selecting the highest-rated products geared for a child’s particular age. Boxes are available for pregnant moms and moms with children between the ages of 0 and 5.

DEAL: If you’d like to subscribe use coupon code MRV3835U16 to save $10 on any plan!

Unlike many subscriptions, Bluum gives you the option of selecting your own products each month. A caveat though: sometimes, even if you select your own products, you’ll get something else. Maybe they think that adds to the excitement? Who knows. This month, my December box arrived on time, on the same day that I received my November box.

Books, a puzzle, and a body wash! My daughter was very excited about what she saw.

Each of the Sesame Street books also contained an activity book and flashcards, making this package from Bluum seem particularly large.

Spongefuls’ Sports Shapes Soap-Filled Sponges ($4.98) look like fun. Each one of the three sponges will last for about 7 washes. They’re filled with a child-friendly hypoallergenic body wash that’s free from parabens, sulfates, triclosan, and formaldehyde. The sponges are latex free.

My daughter was excited to try her hand at her new Robots 12 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle By Mud Puppy ($10.53)!

Its 12 large pieces were colorful and interesting enough to keep her attention. She enjoyed working on the puzzle with help from me.

My daughter is learning to identify different emotions, so Sesame Street’s  Elmo’s Learning Adventure’s “Happy & Sad, Grouchy & Glad” book set was perfect for her ($8? It looks like these are usually available through a subscription, although you can get a copy of the book by itself from Amazon)!

My daughter enjoyed working through the enclosed activity book. She couldn’t believe that flamingos sleep on one leg!

She and I have read through the enclosed flashcards countless times. These were a real hit!

I was excited that we received Sesame Street’s Elmo’s Learning Adventures’ “Let’s Eat” book set ($8? This is usually available through a subscription). My daughter is a very picky eater, and the more exposure she can get to characters eating an array of foods that are out of her wheelhouse, the better.

She found the enclosed What’s Cooking? Activity Book a lot of fun as well.

Thanks to the enclosed flashcards, she is now familiar with the letter “T.” Thanks, Bluum!

My entire family enjoyed our selections this month. Even though I didn’t pick all of the items in this month’s box, I was delighted with the substitutions that Bluum made for us. They seemed to take into account that we really want to receive toys and books each month. I’m sure my daughter will continue to play with her new puzzle, and we’ll continue to read our new Sesame Street books together as a family. I had a bit of trouble pinning down the value of this month’s box since the Sesame Street collections are typically available only through a subscription. If my $8 approximation is correct, this box came in just shy of the published rate. Those who subscribed using the 30% off coupon around the holidays would have still come out ahead though.
