Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription for men. Through it, you’ll receive 3-4 sample items that are smaller versions of what you can order from the Birchbox site, plus a lifestyle item that is full-size. Boxes are $20 per month.

This month’s Birchbox Man has a nice offering of various items.

The theme for January 2017 is “In with the New.” I like the card explaining the items and letting me know how much the items will cost at their full price. The items are available on the Birchbox site. See your box at birchbox.com/mybox.

Subscribers are given a sample choice opportunity via email/your account to choose a lifestyle item. Here’s what I got for my January 2017 box.

Bombas Socks. I have received Bombas socks in previous BirchBox months and I am a huge fan. I also love the fact that the folks at Bombas give back to the community. I pulled the following from their website:

We wanted to create something scalable. The solution? A company that donates a pair of socks for every pair sold. The more socks we sell, the more we can donate. And how do you sell a lot of socks? Design something better than anything on the market.

I received two different styles this month.

Bombas Merino Wool Calf Socks ($18). These socks look and feel great! They will last me a while as I don’t have many cold days where I live but when the opportunity arises, I have a go-to pair.

Bombas Striped Quarters Socks ($12). These socks will get a lot of wearing. The Peruvian cotton is nice and soft and I can see myself getting more of them.

R + Co. Motorcycle Flexible Gel ($2.60). This is a good gel if you like the natural look of your hair but want a bit of control over it. It holds nicely without leaving your hair feeling hard or sticky.

Ursa Major Morning Mojo Bar Soap ($14 for the full size). I’m a huge fan of peppermint in my soaps/shampoos. Ursa Major has just enough to be an invigorating wake up during the morning shower.

Beardbrand – Beard Oil-Tree Ranger ($25 for the full-size). It doesn’t take much of this to help out your beard(especially mine as it has only been growing a short time). The description mentions a piney scent which is definitely there but the scent that stuck out to me was almond. I like the natural earthy scents like that as opposed to manufactured floral scents.

DTRT Skin Saver Ceramidin Cream ($11.70). This is a nice skin cream. I have oily skin so moisturizing isn’t usually an issue for me. I used some and my face felt even more oily.

This box is an amazing value for $20 per month! The ceramidin cream is a bit of a miss but with everything else in this box, the value is still fantastic.
