BeadCrate is a monthly subscription box for bead enthusiasts. Every month you’ll receive a curated collection of beads, findings, and other goodies to enhance your beading creations! There are three box sizes – Hobbyist ($7.99), Enthusiast ($15.99), and Collector ($35) [prices don’t include shipping] to choose from. This is the Enthusiast Crate!

The beads always come neatly packaged inside individual well-labelled plastic bags inside a cute organza bag. We also have a curator’s note explaining the theme. And this month, it’s all about Champagne! I enjoy the story weaved into the theme as well. Also, you can share your creation on their social media for a chance to get a little surprise in next month’s box.

The crate comes with a chart that tells you exactly what you’re getting.

Sparkling Champagne!

3mm Champagne Faceted Rounds and 4mm Transparent Champagne Luster Faceted Rounds. I love love love this little piece of sparkling champagne beads! They can be used in small weaving project with seed beads, or as little accent in beaded project. They are so versatile, I really like getting more of them.

8mm Light Topaz Faceted Rounds. Such a lovely color!

Honey!

Honeycomb 2-hole crystal beige luster. Perfect for a weaved bracelet, but I tried and I failed! I’ll keep working with them, and they would be great with superduo seed beads as well.

Transparent Potter’s Clay Cushion Rounds. I was tempted to use them as the moon in a Champagne Tree of Life pendant, but I already did something like that in a previous box. So I turned them into earrings!

Freshwater Champagne Dyed Coin. Real Pearls!!! The color is great, and I like the asymmetrical look to them.

Topaz Druks. They mix so well with the seed beads and also with the 3mm and 4mm faceted rounds. They would be great in a weaved design or in some simple and light earrings.

Toho 11/0 Transparent Lustered Topaz. Every month, we get some seed beads. Every month, I’m trying to do something with them. Almost every month, I fail. But I don’t give up. I’ll make something nice eventually! (I’m cursed with seed beads.)

NYMO Size 8 Champagne Bobbin. Every month, there’s an extra useful item. This month’s is thread, perfect for a weaved design, the color matches most of the beads from this month’s box.

Crystal Rounds. Simple transparent beads, they are quite versatile.

Rosaline Vertical Hole Tear Drops. Perfect for earrings or any design that needs drops or little pendant. A bracelet with a row of tear drops would be nice too.

Silver/pink/Crystal Flattened Ovals. These are so fun and cute! They were Kiwi’s (my bird) favorites.

For this month’s project, I had an assistant designer. Kiwi chose the beads and her favorites were the Silver/Pink/Crystal Flattened Ovals (because they were shiny), and she was fascinated by the Cushion Rounds (probably my favorite bead this month, beside the pearls.) Of course, after that, she flew away with one of the crystal rounds…

I made two pairs of earrings. For the first ones, I only added some pink rondelles for added texture. The second pair was inspired by Kiwi with the flattened oval and the lenght (Kiwi loves to play with long earrings).

This month’s theme was a lovely mix of champagne colors and some pink accent. I loved it and I swear, someday I’ll make a bracelet or a necklace with the seed beads! I really liked the addition of the Nymo thread and the pearls!
