YBOX is an Asian snack subscription offering goodies which are not usually available in supermarkets. Products are carefully chosen by worldwide food buying and tasting team to make sure that subscribers enjoy the best there is to offer.

A neatly packed big box of goodies… all edible goodies! There are three different options to choose from: the YUM Box ($11.95/mo) , the YUM-YUM Box ($19.95/mo), and the YUM-YUM-YUM Box ($29.95/mo). This review is of the YUM-YUM-YUM Box!

Samyand Stir-Fried Noodle Hot Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen. I have not gotten a chance to make this but am super excited to try a spicy ramen. I mean how do you make one of the greatest quick foods better other than adding a kick of heat?

Lotte Pepero Stick Biscuit & Chocolate. It’s like eating a chocolate-covered pretzel without the charge of salt. I loved the crispy, sweetness but really missed the salty side. Sweet and salty is my downfall in the snacking world.

Lotte Choco Pie. Marshmallow and flaky cookie dipped in chocolate is kind of like a Little Debbie snack without being overly sweet. Now I’m not a marshmallow fan (the texture is all wrong for me) but both my husband and daughter loved these. I like that they are fairly small so I don’t feel like I’m feeding my family an excessive amount of sugar.

GGE Baked Rice Chocolate Flavor. By far the best treat in this box. My daughter described it best: chocolate-covered Pirate’s Booty. It was melt-in-your-mouth good and the potential to over eat this treat is high. I may not be sharing any more of this because I don’t know when or where I might find them again.

Farm Group Roasted Seaweed with Green Tea. Apparently, I only like seaweed when it is holding my sushi together. Alone it’s like eating salty, overly chewy leaves. This is the only product I couldn’t get anyone else to try after seeing the faces I made.

Morinaga Dar White Chocolate Confectionery. Soft and creamy white chocolate without being too sweet. This will be a dream to bake with and to make hot cocoa.

Glico Pretz Baked Snack Sticks Pizza Flavored. These light biscuit sticks are heavily seasoned with flavors of cheese, tomato and Italian spices like basil and oregano. It really does taste like pizza! I liked the flavor and the fact there are less calories in a stick than in a slice of pizza.

Big Roll Grilled Seaweed Roll. I cannot bring myself to try this, as I cannot get past the texture and chewiness.

img_0994

Cha Cha Potato Crackers. This is the lightest, most bland cracker that has ever passed through my mouth. I’m not sure there is a cheese or spread that would make them taste better. I do enjoy the fact that half the package is a serving for only 140 calories but I’m still not giving them a second chance.

Cha Cha Potato Cracker Spicy Flavor. These baked, low-caloriecrackers are coated in hot seasoning.

Haitai Okonomiyaki Chips. Puffed texture with Okonomiyaki sauce gives you an interesting sweet, light sour and salty taste. It was very light in texture, I’m fairly certain I could finish the entire package without even knowing. I was very happy with the texture and taste while my husband had to spit it out.

D-Plus Natural Yeast Bread Hokkaido Creamy Flavor. This was so soft and fluffy because only premium Japanese flour goes in. I have been trying to cut out carbs but this sweet, light treat is enough to bring a grown woman to her knees. It reminded me of a Hawaiian sweet roll and even without anything on it was perfect.

Nanyang White Coffee. This is a 3-in-1 coffee made with coconut sugar. I have tried coconut sugar and didn’t like it so I am a bit apprehensive to try this product. I did open the package and it smells like a sweeter version of hot chocolate.

Haitai Honey Tong Tong Chips. It’s an interesting puffed and triangle-shaped snack topped with honey flavor. My daughter and I thought these were different, to say the least, but still alright. My husband couldn’t get over the overwhelming sweetness and couldn’t even finish the chip. It was odd to have a very light chip type snack with so much sweetness, but I would snack on these all day long. I loved them.

Want Want Milk Drink. Want Want Milk Drink is a delicious and healthy beverage. It contains Omega 3 essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and other great nutrients such as zinc, magnesium, and potassium. I have not tried this drink because I’m going to have to verify that it does not have lactose in it, but I can do that by visiting ybox.com/novbox.

Double-sided Facial Macks Bottle Opener. I love this almost as much as my wrestling obsessed husband. I’m keeping it for myself just to drive him nuts!

Side two… I’m not sure which one I like more.

YBOX is so much fun for the entire family. We sat around and tried new products, laughed at each other’s reactions and fought over our favorite snacks. We got to try foods from a place no of us have ever been to but now we can start our lists of things we can eat when we visit Japan. Living here in the States, we take for granted nutritional labels. I’d say about half of the items had stickers on the back with the information that is mandated by the US. I absolutely loved how much was packed into this box, talk about feeling like you are getting the most for your money. My daughter and I are looking forward to trying more Japanese food. I think my husband is all ready to tap out.
