Bring the magic of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts right to your doorstep with the new bi-monthly and official Harry Potter subscription from Loot Crate, J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World! For $34.99 every other month, you’ll get 5-7 unique and officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise, so there’s no need to go to Diagon Alley!

“I Want To Be A Wizard.”

FYI – I ordered this box the first day it was available but it arrived a month late. It also did not include the Muggle Worthy sticker closure on the box.

Hope you didn’t miss this at the bottom of your box! Some wizardry was used to conceal the information scroll!

DEAL: Save 10% on the entire length of your subscription! Use coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION.

I love how they designed the information card!

The scroll tells you how magical this month’s items are.

All the magical loot in the November/December box – the very first one!

Bowtruckle Lapel Pin: The monthly pin is a Bowtruckle! We waited on seeing Fantastic Beasts – and we are fighting over who gets to wear this!

The bowtruckle is a small twig-like creature that guards wand-wood trees!

Fantastic Beasts The New York Ghost T-Shirt: Enchanted Dispatches to the American Wizard – this page has all the headlines. I think it’s a neat, subtle design, and everyone will want to read your shirt. I picked this box up in an XS, and Loot Crate told me there was a severe delay with this size, but they weren’t proactive about it (note to Loot Crate, please add youth & women’s sizes to this subscription!).

Funko POP! Harry Potter Albus Dumbledore Vinyl Figure:This is the only item I am mildly disappointed in. All the rest were Fantastic Beasts Pop!s and I am going to be honest – it was a letdown to receive Dumbledore when I wanted one from Fantastic Beasts. But now I have triplet Dumbledores.  Yeah, this is our third one.

Hedwig/Letter Keychain: Bag charm, keychain, whatever you’d like to call it – you didn’t know you needed it until you had it! It features a fine tassel and owl post missive!

Heeding is highly detailed and is such an unusual and striking charm! I love it. ? My children were similarly crazy about it.

MACUSA Notebook

j-k-rowlings-wizarding-world-novemberdecember-2016-7

This notebook has such a striking design! The front bears a gilt MACUSA insignia and criss-cross cording on the side. I like this detail!

The insignia is embossed on the back, too. I love the deco feel of it!

The pages are gilt-edged and perfect for recording every day magic.

Plus you can track hexes in Real-Time with this handy map! j-k-rowlings-wizarding-world-novemberdecember-2016-12

Pigwidgeon Plush: This plushie is the perfect ending to the box! Pig was gifted to Ron by Sirius Black and maybe not the best owl in the whole world but certainly loved.

I think he’s fantastic for both the young & old and was certainly loved by us!

This box was a hit for us, save for the Dumbledore Pop, which was a duplicate (which may be less of a problem for your average subscriber!). We thought the value was great, loved the theming and style, and were particularly taken with the owl-goodness in this box, which was unexpected but welcomed. Because we did have a Potter pop our items were 3 Harry Potter, 3 Fantastic Beasts, but most subscribers would have had 2/4 – which is a bit odd for the opening box but well timed to go along with the movie opener. I’m expecting the box to focus more heavily on Harry Potter in the future – but wouldn’t be amazing if we received an exclusive short story and item to go with? I’m going to go dream about it in my journal!
