Satva Box is a monthly subscription box that sends natural beauty products at affordable prices. The word “satva” means pure in Sanskrit and the items sent will be free of parabens and other nasties. The cost is $14.99 a month with discounts on 3 or 6-month terms. When you sign up you can choose from the regular Satva Box or the Vegan Box.

I love product info cards and this one is helpful, detailed, and gives the suggested retail value of each item.

Balanced Guru Guilt-Free Energy Mist ($9.99) It looks like Balanced Guru has been making some changes and this item has been renamed “Sensitive OptiMist” and has new packaging. The base is denatured alcohol and the essential oils are a blend of mandarin, Bulgarian rose, geranium, lavender, patchouli, and ylang ylang. You can spray this in the air and take a deep breath or spritz on your inner wrist for a longer lasting effect. I don’t know that I experienced “sensual and emotional pleasure” but I think this might keep mosquitoes at bay!

DeVita Moroccan Rose Facial Toner ($9.18) I prefer hydrosols instead of toners but this one has witch hazel as a base (rather than über drying alcohol) along with aloe and several essential oils. I’m not a fan of the scent of roses (except on actual, real roses) and this one was pretty strong but I did give this a try in the morning before moisturizing and as a midday refresher and it worked well.

HAN Skin Care Raspberry Chardonnay Lip Gloss ($14) went on smoothly and had a great color payoff for a gloss! Argan and acai oils moisturize while cranberry, green tea, and other antioxidants provide anti-aging benefits. This gloss was non-sticky and the color is described as an “opaque red berry with slight shimmer” and will become a regular item in my makeup repertoire.

There was a second makeup item from HAN (which stands for Healthy and Natural) and I’m looking forward to trying more items from this Leaping Bunny approved company that makes their items here in the U.S.A. Their Golden Glow Eye Shadow ($13) is talc free and is made with rice powder! This medium gold, slightly shimmery shade is buildable and went on easily. This shadow has the same antioxidant blend as the lipstick along with shea butter, sea kelp extract, and quinoa.

Oooh, sparkly!

Here’s the eye shadow applied with one finger swipe and a hefty application of lip gloss.

This was another pleasing Satva Box! These items were free of weird ingredients, and most brands had a leaping bunny on their website. My box had a value of $46.17, which is 3 times the subscription price! I loved the makeup items and the toner and energy mist are pretty universal items! I’m really moving more towards natural beauty products and this box helps me in my quest to go clean!
