The Lady Lair is a themed literary, lifestyle, beauty/personal care, and geekish monthly subscription box – starting at $44.99/month.

Lace-looking note welcoming me to the lair… I just love it! It’s the little things that make a subscription stand out and personal touches are perfect in my opinion.

DEAL: Get $3 off your first box! Use coupon code FIRSTMONTH3.

This month’s theme: Under the Sea. Also included is a list of the contents broken down my category.

Beautiful blue and white saucer.

Matching cup.

Beautiful when separated but even more beautiful when put together. This is perfect when drinking my favorite golden liquid, tea. The best part of this combination is they are both microwave and dishwasher safe.

Bigelow Salted Caramel tea bags. I love Bigelow tea, in fact, I drink it multiple times per day. This was such a treat, like drinking candy without all the calories or spike in blood sugar.

Ariel Necklace by LetMeCharmU. I am overjoyed that I got Ariel instead of Ursula. Other than Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel is my favorite. The silhouette is perfect and I love the high polished silver frame and chain. I know a few little girls who would live this but mean old Auntie is going to be keeping it and wearing it proudly.

Mer-Sea & Co Hydrating Hand & Foot Balm. OMG. This product is amazing, I wish it was a head to toe kind of balm. My hands have been rejuvenated by this incredible, easy to use, subtle smelling and highly hydrating balm. I cannot wait to see how it transforms my winter feet.

All The Breaking Waves by Kerry Lonsdale ($9.73)

From the bestselling author of Everything We Keep comes a gripping tale of long-buried secrets, the strength of forgiveness, and the healing power of returning home for good.

After a harrowing accident tore her family apart, Molly Brennan fled from the man she loved and the tragic mistake she made.

Twelve years later, Molly has created a new life for herself and her eight-year-old daughter, Cassie. The art history professor crafts jewelry as unique and weathered as the surf-tumbled sea glass she collects, while raising her daughter in a safe and loving environment—something Molly never had. But when Cassie is plagued by horrific visions and debilitating nightmares, Molly is forced to return to the one place she swore she’d never move back to—home to Pacific Grove.

A riveting exploration of love, secrets, and motherhood, All the Breaking Waves is the poignant story of a woman who discovers she must confront her past, let go of her guilt, and summon everything in her power to save her daughter.

I can’t wait to finish this book, it’s written well and the words just float off the pages. There is a lyrical magic to this book.

This box is so spot on for me that it’s uncanny. With the exception of the book, which is a little more heartfelt and less gory than what I would normally choose I can’t imagine a better combination of items. I love the necklace but think the China tea cup and saucer will get the most use. I’ve never felt classier than when I was using these products. This box brought my nerdy side and girly sides together for a dash of awesome! Thanks to The Lady Lair I feel empowered and girly which is something new and different for me.

I took a gamble and tried this new subscription box. I liked how it was a box that offered different interests and I’m obsessed with the ocean and sea life. I was not disappointed! I loved this box! The tea set is so beautiful and big, it’s my favorite item in the box. The necklace is so cute. My daughter wants it but I’m like no! It’s mine lol. The balm smells good too. I haven’t read the book but it looks good. I see they lowered the price but I’m not mad. I’m glad because I want their masquerade ball box. The box was huge and my husband was like what the heck did you order? I laughed and said I don’t know. After I showed him the items he said this box was ” very you”. It was a fun box to get and I’m glad to see it on your rewiew page.
