This box is really decorated inside and out. While the outside has little food items on it, the inside is full of bright green words. So much detail for a food box. The brown butcher paper keeps everything nice and neat inside. I’m loving the cute sticker this month. “Seasons Eatings” just makes me smile. DegustaBox does a great job of wrapping the glass jars in bubble wrap and keeping things from getting broken and there are so many full-size items in the box everything is all packed in and good for shipping.

The information sheets are always great and full of information on the included items.

With this month being December, they sent some cute and fun Holiday tags that you can cut out.  I’m going to have my boys work on these when we are doing our presents.

degustabox_december2016_pillsbury

Pillsbury Purely Simple White Cake Mix ($3.29) and Buttercream Frosting ($1.99) – When I saw these, I was immediately craving some cupcakes and it didn’t take me long to make them. We decorated them with some holiday sprinkles we had around already and they were delicious. The Purely Simple mixes contain no coloring, preservatives or artificial flavors. So simple and oh so good!

degustabox_december2016_kala

Simply Peppered Kala Beans ($3.99) – These are roasted fava beans flavored with sea salt and black pepper. I was hesitant at first but they are pretty addictive once I got started. We finished them up in one night and I’ll be getting some more. They come in four different flavors: Cherry Trail Medley, Pineapple Kick Medley, Simply Peppered, and Tropical Curry Beans. I can’t wait to try the other ones too.

degustabox_december2016_honey

Honey Acres Honey Straws ($1.00 each) – I’ve said before that I don’t care for honey at all so I’ll be passing these on but they are filled with raw honey with different flavors that will be good to liven up hot beverages, muffins, or to just eat on the go.

degustabox_december2016_chipsahoy

Chips Ahoy Cinnamon Sugar Thins ($3.79) – Oh my goodness I’m in love with these. We love cookies at my house and I stashed these aside for me and I opened them when I started this review and yep I’m still eating them as I type. They are so good and flavorful. These are going to be some of my new go-to’s.

degustabox_december2016_smuckers

Smuckers Fruit & Honey Fruit Spread in Strawberry Jalapeno ($3.49) – I’m not a jam and jelly person. I do keep some in the house to add to meatballs or when my hubby wants a PB&J but with this one having jalapeno in it, I’m going to add it into a box I’m mailing my brother for the holidays since he loves spicier things and I think he will get a kick out of this one.

degustabox_december2016_urbangrain

Urbane Grain 3 Minute Meal Beef Burgundy ($2.99) – A fun new take on the instant lunch. These are made with ancient grains, amaranth, sorghum and barley with up to 9 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. A great go-to meal when you are in a rush.

degustabox_december2016_ricola

Ricola Honey Herb Lozenges ($13.99) – Here is that honey thing again, so not for me – but my hubby likes these when he gets a sore throat so we will keep them for that. I really just like yodeling Ricola every time I see it.

degustabox_december2016_goodthins

Good Thins Sweet Oat & Flax ($3.69) – These look so great and I’m holding them out for when I have people over for Christmas. They are a great snack combination of REAL oats and flax!

degustabox_december2016_loaker

Loacker Gran Patisserie in Coconut and NoirOrange  ($3.05 each) – As a random thing at my house we always have some kind of coconut treat here for when my mother-in-law comes to babysit.  She loves everything coconut so I’m stashing these away for her. She will be here a bit this month so it will be a nice treat. These biscuits have a light, crispy wafer with the finest creams and delicious chocolate glaze. I’m not sure what isn’t to love in these.

degustabox_december2016_popcorn

Wise Popcorn in White Cheddar ($3.49) – Everyone’s box came with either White Cheddar or Butter and I’m sure they are both delicious but we loved ours.  We have been having it for a snack and it is yummy deliciousness.

Another awesome box from DegustaBox this month. We’ve already gone through a bunch of the items and are enjoying them immensely.  Every month we get a great selection of items which we may already know of and things we have never heard of. We have found some new favorites around here in some of the boxes and I’m sure we will have many more to come.

I got my first box and really enjoyed it. The Loacker snacks and Chips Ahoy were my favorites. I am glad I did not get the jalapeno version of the jam. I cannot eat spicy hot food. I am going to continue my subscription to see if the other boxes are as good as this one was.

I got chocolate cake and frosting mixes, and my Urbane Grain thing is Tuscan Cacciatore. Haven’t had a chance to try it yet. It’s always interesting to see what they put in these boxes – some familiar things and others I’ve never seen before.
