Barkbox is a monthly subscription box just for dogs. Each box has 4-6 dog products and are customized to the size of your pup, plus it has a cute theme that you and your dog will get a kick out of.

This Barkbox is for small dogs like our miniature schnauzer, Lindy, but you can get them for medium and large dogs too — check out our Barkbox reviews for a peek at the big dog boxes!

This month’s custom paper shows a very White Christmas! I was impressed that the wrap-around design of the paper was cut and arranged to line up exactly.

DEAL: Save $10 on your first box with promo code MS10X1213 though it should pop up automatically. Or get a free month with your subscription with code FREEMONTHWITHBARKBOX!

The box theme is BarkBox Ski Treat & Retreat.

The box features toys and snacks celebrating Winter and ski season. I have to give them credit for adding some variety to the themes one sees this time of year, picking a wintry theme that is not expressly tied to the holidays.

BarkBox always does a great job of fleshing out the theme of each box and making the inserts and box decor fun. The inserts have some info on a single, featured item, but information on all the items in the box can be found on the site, or by using the BarkBox app!

And here are this month’s cute dog items!

Bark & Co. Stella the Snow Bunny ($10): These fluffy gal has a honking, low-pitched squeaker inside that’s easy to activate. The exterior is extremely soft to the touch, making this a great toy for nuzzlers.

True to form, this Snow Bunny has her own set of skis! They have reinforced seams for chewing, and they keep Stella upright.

Butcher’s Block Dynamo Beef Chew ($4):  A thick slice of real cow bone, smoked over hickory. Your dog can spend hours trying to get at every last bit of marrow – the resulting gravy is a bit stainy, so it’s best used far away from carpets and blankets!

Grandma Bowser’s Pumpkin Pie Treats ($6): Super crunchy and hard, these biscuits use chickpea flour and pumpkin instead of grains. Also very clean and low odor, a nice benefit for the human doing the treating.

I and Love and You Nice Jerky Bites Chicken and Duck ($8): These chewy jerky bites are made from a blend of turkey and duck. Lindy loves them! They are tender and tear easily for treating.

Bark & Co. Hugo’s Hot Cocoa ($14): An overflowing cocoa mug, complete with a couple cute marshmallows.

The marshmallows fit inside the mug, making for a fun extraction activity.  The cup itself is very flexible, with a crinkly inner layer.

When the BarkBox comes out, so does Lindy!  She knows when it comes into the house, and she always visits us as soon as the box is open.

I tossed some of the duck treats into the bottom of the mug and let her go at it.

She was relentless!

Barkbox is always fun to open — they do such a great job with the decorative paper and selecting appropriate toys for the theme!  Lindy enjoys the bagged treats – they are a good size for her and made from ingredients she enjoys (duck and pumpkin, yum!). She’s not big on actual bones, but she really liked everything else in the box.

Was your Barkbox the same this month?
