BarkBox Super Chewer

December’s Barkbox Super Chewer has arrived! Super Chewer is a monthly subscription box for dogs “who demand a challenge.”  Each box has 4-6 dog products and is customized to the size of your pup, plus it has a cute theme.  All natural treats, tough toys, and challenging chews are included in the monthly box. BarkBox will replace a toy for free if your dog defeats it. We selected the large box for our three dogs. Bella is a Rat Terrier, Odie is a Borador (half Border Collie and half Labrador Retriever), and Daisy is an English Shepherd.

FYI: There are no coupon codes for this version of the Barkbox subscription.

Themed Paper

Bella prefers to be wearing her sweater while hanging out at the lodge while Odie would be the dog playing ice hockey.

Ski Tag
Inside

The adorable ski tag is good for one dog. The Super Chewer Exclusive is Max the Marching Penguin which is made out of 100% rubber, not blubber!

Bark Box Super Chewer Large Dog December 2016

Here are the items for the December Barkbox Super Chewer Large Dog Box. Odie and Bella are ready to put the box to the test. Odie, our half Borader and half Border Collie, is rough on his toys. He can destroy his toys within five minutes through play. Bella, our Mini Rat Terrier, feels it is her job to destroy toys regardless of size. She can destroy them just as quick as Odie.

SnowBall

J, my eight-year-old was excited to see a snowball toy ($13.00) in the box. He could not wait to throw the ball to Odie in the back yard. Odie was a little unsure about the toy.

Max the Marching Penguin

Odie saw Max the Marching Penguin ($12.00) and could not wait to find out if it had peanut butter in it. The Super Chewer Exclusive Toy designed by Bark & Co can be filled with treats. It also bounces and is thick-walled.

Koha Pork Jerky

All three dogs were eager to check out the treats. The Made-in- USA Kona Pork Jerky Treats ($8.00) are a grain free treat whose first ingredient is pork liver. The dogs agreed that the jerky treats tasted and smelled woofilicous.

Duck Party Platter

The Made-in-USA Duck Party Platter Treats (5.5 oz, $6.00) were a hit with all three dogs. The soft treats first ingredient is an American-sourced duck. The doggies agreed that it made yummy party food.

Dog for Dog Dogsbar

Odie loved the Made=in-USA Peanut Butter DogsBar (1.41 oz, $3.00), Bella wasn’t interested in it. Dog for Dog donates food to shelters and dogs in need with every purchase. It was nice to see this brand in the December box.

Contender Butcher Block

The Made-in-USA  Contender Butcher Block ($4.00) was enjoyed by all three dogs. The hand trim and slow roasted Angus Beef Bone kept the doggies busy.

Bella, our Mini Rat Terrier, and Odie, our Borader, will be our reviewers. Daisy enjoyed all the treats but isn’t a super chewer.

Odie

Odie is showing that he is unsure about the snowflake ball by raising his one paw quizzically in the air.

Bella

Odie is busy chewing on the butcher block. He would lay down to eat it when I went into the house. Every time I came back out, he got back up again.

Bella

Bella is concentrating on chewing off the last pieces of meat on the bone. Her enthusiasm is not dampened by her small size.

Treat Time

I brought them in for treat time. Odie’s treats are ready to be eaten!

Odie

Odie ate the Peanut Butter DogsBar first. He is crazy for peanut butter.

Bella

Bella also received a bowl of treats which is right outside the picture. She ate the jerky treat first. She ignored the Dogsbar which Odie was happy to come back into the room and eat.

Peanut Butter!

The snowball’s opening was a little too small for Odie, but not for Bella. Bella is enjoying a peanut butter treat while Odie is making sure that Bella won’t take his treat. I use the snowball each night to give her a delicious peanut butter treat.

All is well

All is well with Odie as he enjoys his penguin treat. He has been enjoying his peanut butter filled penguin every night before bed. He sometimes chews on it too as he is falling asleep.

My Super Chewers loved their December Super Chewer BarkBox. All three dogs loved the mixture of treats and chews. The dogs were happy that I filled their toys with peanut butter and chewed on them too. I thought it was an excellent super chewer box that had an adorable theme. I also appreciate that Barkbox will replace a toy if your dog defeats it.  The value of the box came to over $45.00. Check out Brandy’s Small Dog Box to see an adorable snow bunny. Head on over to my Large Dog Review to see the differences between the regular Large Dog Box and the Super Chewer Large Dog Box. Barkbox is an excellent choice for doggies and their humans that want fun boxes full of wonderful themed toys and treats.
