Tennis Trunk is a monthly subscription box that sends tennis balls and other essentials for the tennis enthusiast. Developed by tennis players for tennis players, this box equips you with all of the gear you’ll need to skip last minute store runs and head out to the courts instead!
They have multiple plans available, so you can choose what will work best for you and your game. While you can choose a plan that sends out 3, 6 or 9 cans of tennis balls each month, you can also choose either a men’s or women’s box containing balls and other gear. My husband chose the men’s box containing balls and other gear.
DEAL: You can use code HELLOSUB to save $5 on your first month!
Before his first box arrived, my husband told me what he really could use were balls, a towel, strings and grip tape. Since then, though, he has come to appreciate everything that Tennis Trunk has sent him. When I told him that he got a new Tennis Trunk in the mail, he swooned. He couldn’t wait to see what was inside!
Needless to say, he was thrilled with what he saw: two packages of balls, a towel, electrolyte replacements, a pen, badge and pain relieving roll-on.
Tennis Trunk was created by and for tennis players, and it really shows. Each month, they include a number of different “I never knew it existed, but now that I do, I can’t live without it” products.
The box included helpful information about each of the included products.
My husband and I are both excited to try out Myo-Breathe’s Pain Relieving Roll-On ($14). Created by a massage therapist with extensive experience working with tennis players, this analgesic gel not only relieves pain for up to 4 hours at a time, but also moisturizes skin. It can be used as a massage aid.
My husband is always on the lookout for tennis towels, so he was delighted to receive this Sport Towel from Unique ($9.99). This thick cotton towel will be a welcome addition to his tennis bag.
Skratch Labs Raspbery and Orange Fruit Drops Energy Chews ($9.80) were absolutely delicious! The first time I ever tried the raspberry chews, my daughter and I finished the bag off within a couple of minutes. These chews are made from fruit and don’t contain caffeine. They taste like the perfect gummy candies. Still, they’re formulated with the athlete in mind: it’s critical for athletes to consume carbohydrates during intense, prolonged exercise to maximize performance. These fruit drops make getting adequate carbs easy and yummy.
Similarly, Skratch Labs’ Exercise Hydration Mix with Lemons and Limes ($7.80) is delicious too. In fact, I prefer this mix to Gatorade. It’s sweet without being too sweet and left no aftertaste in my mouth. Each packet dissolves into 16 ounces of water.
My husband loves pens and puns so I’m sure he’ll use the enclosed Pen And Patch ($2?) happily.
This month, my husband received two packages of Pro Penn Marathon Balls in Extra-Duty Felt for Hard Courts ($6.58 based on the cost of 24 cans). Pro Penn Marathon balls are Penn’s longest lasting tennis balls. They come covered in different materials for use on different surfaces. Their unique cores last up to 22% longer than other balls’ cores.
My husband loved this box! He loves that the value exceeded the cost of the box by over a third, all while saving him precious time now that he no longer needs to keep running back and forth to the store. He also loved that this box introduced him to some really useful products that he didn’t even know existed. He can’t wait to see what they send out next month! Now if only the folks behind Tennis Trunk could figure out a way to up his game from a 4.0 to a 4.5, he would be thrilled!
