I received 2 soft cover books in the fantasy genre. The books were cushioned with paper to keep the covers from damage.

Time to curl up on the couch with a warm, fuzzy blanket and a hot cup of Lady Grey tea. I have received some very good books since  I started getting this box.

A Darkling Sea by James L. Cambias ($15.99, Amazon) is about a war and human exploration of an alien planet and its  inhabitants. At first, there’s peace while humans explore the planet and learn about the inhabitants called Ilmataran but the death of a human reporter at the hands of the Ilmataran causes a conflict. You’ll have to read this yourself to see what happens. Let’s just say you’ll find it a good story.

This book is about a dark and violent world. There is a cult that wishes to use the ability to twist reality to make a young boy ascend into a god that they can control. I have not started this book but I hope to soon. Have you read it yet? Let me know what you think.

My next space adventure is The Kassa Gambit by M. C. Planck ($16.99, Amazon).

It’s about the human race colonizing several planets after the ecological collapse of earth. Humanity seems to be alone in the universe… But are they? A small farming planet called Kassa is brutally decimated by a mysterious attacker. This book has an interesting plot. Pick this one up on your next bookstore trip.

These 2 books are a great start for my fall reading binge. I have got my blankets and my teas ready. Okay, fall, here I come!

Total retail for this box is about $33, cost of the subscription $14.99 a month. Total savings: about $1!!! I love savings! Do you like stories about different worlds? If you do, I know you will enjoy these books.

I hope you enjoy your box as much as I did!
