Mine Chest is the one and only monthly subscription box for all the Minecraft fans out there. It is officially licensed by Mojang, and costs $29.99 per month + shipping ($7 US, $15 Canada, $20 everywhere else).

You’ll get a box full of Minecraft inspired goodies and official merchandise. Boxes come with a t-shirt (with a full range of youth and adult sizes available) and are packed in a collectible and reusable box.

I should mention that my kids are Minecraft fiends. They love crafting!

The outside of the box is decorated with faux stickers – they look like stickers from past boxes (see our  Minecraft T-Shirt Club Reviews !).

The theme of the October box was COLD TAIGA!

The lenticular postcard is always a hit!

Did you know you can turn the box inside out and turn them into a cool room decoration?

Minecraft Cold Taiga Postcard: These are fun and really well done, inviting subscribers into the story. You definitely feel like you’re in a real-world journey with the cards.

Everything in the October Mine Chest box!

Mine Chest Exclusive Pin: Enamel pins are totally all the rage right now! This one is a tamed dog and totally a hit with the kids.

Mine Chest Exclusive Sticker: Hexagonal stickers perfect for creating your own scene and decorating your favorite Minecraft device!

Mine Chest Exclusive T-Shirt: The shirts are a big draw with this subscription. I believe this one shows a skeleton on fire, dropping his bone, a dog, and then the dog loves you because you gave it a bone, and now it’s tamed. That’s my interpretation of the kids’ screams and yelps.

Minecraft Stamp & Ink Pad: So far there’s been a stamp block and stamp pad (the little ink sac is cute!) in every box. I think this is a fairly repetitive item – and it’s something that my kids haven’t played with.

But this one is super cute – it’s definitely getting used for Valentine’s Day cards!

This is a little background for a playset – it folds out and you can see ours below!

Minecraft Mini-Figures – 5 Ice Series Definitely a great item, especially for kids who love them already. I really liked that these were from the Ice Series, to match the theme! I had a hard time finding these online, but the 3 packs are $8.99.

We got White Rabbit, Spawning Zombie Pigman (when a pig gets hit by lightning) , and Alex in Gold Armor!

I didn’t do a perfect job unfolding this, but it’s a really awesome idea, and work great for playing with these mini-figs! FWIW, my kids & I highly recommend the collector case for the mini-figs – and it makes a fun, inexpensive gift!

We are at the above level of Minecraft obsession over 1.5 years after introducing it to the kids.  We would pretty much get this box no matter what. It has a lot of potential, but has had some shipping issues. The value is really subjective too. I love that it has a monthly shirt but would love to see variety on some of the other item types. I expect some changes to be announced fairly soon – stay tuned!
