Menascope is a monthly subscription service that delivers high quality and hand-crafted essential grooming and lifestyle items for men. Everything in the box is sourced from small businesses, so everything has a cottage feel to it. The box may be small, but it’s packed with many full-size items.

Puur Lemongrass Sage Body Butter ($5.60) Raw Shea Butter Herbal Body Cream in a 4oz glass jar with a relaxing spa scent. This is easily the best smelling item in this box. It’s formulated to moisturize without creating a greasy fee, plus it’s vegan and free from parabens or mineral oil.

Purr “Dirt” – Sea Clay Facial Scrub –  $4.90. VEGAN Exfoliating Scrub Rice Bran and Sweet Almond Oils and Apricot Seeds 1oz. It definitely smells like dirt. It does leave the skin feeling incredible, however.

051

Nag Champa Vegan Deodorant – $4.99. Natural Deodorant with Hemp Butter – Hippie Scent. This is a deodorant and I prefer antiperspirants. It smells like incense so I am curious how much odor it would truly deodorize. This is a vegan product, and it uses arrowroot powder and kaolin clay to absorb moisture.

055

District Devil Balm Stick – $3.00. This lip balm works incredibly well. It has a smell of dirt (essential oils of coffee and black pepper provide the fragrance), but I can look past that due to the fact that there no ingredients that are unnatural.

056

Puur “Sheriff” Soap Bar.  I was not able to find this particular soap on the website but the 5 oz bars seem to go for $3.85.  057

There’s not much to this soap scent-wise. I guess it works, but if it is almost $4.00, I think I would want more scent out of it. This is a vegan castile hot-process soap. It is a visually intense soap… it looks like a moldy sponge!

Menascope is a pretty cool box for men’s grooming needs. I really liked most of the items and as far as the items I didn’t love go, they’re still usable and overall good. Each box comes with 4-6 items, and four of the 5 items in this box came from the same supplier – this one happened to be big on vegan products, but the focus will likely change each month depending on the mix of products.
