Loot Crate’s Marvel Gear + Goods subscription is the ultimate subscription for Marvel fans! This bimonthly box comes loaded with completely exclusive Marvel items including wearables and other goods. I like practical nerdiness, whether it’s to wear or to keep around my house and use, so I was so excited to receive the November box!

TIP: This box will be your first if you subscribe before November 15 at 9PM – Save 15% on any subscription when you use this link and coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION15.

The lid of the box is The Book of Darkhold!

The inaugural Marvel Gear + Goods theme is Mystics — fitting, since Doctor Strange is out in theaters this weekend! The level of detail on the info card is awesome; it looks like old parchment, complete with magickal formulas and equations.

The reverse is also detailed — and I LOVE the reference to awesome facial hair bros from Invincible Iron Man #3!

Poor Tony — it’s never fun being left hanging for a high five!

These Scarlet Witch Shot Glasses are labeled as “toothpick holders”, maybe since Marvel is supposed to be family friendly now that it’s owned by Disney — but these are totally shot glasses, and will be used as such in my kitchen — er, sanctum santorum.

This set of steel topped coasters features just two designs — Doctor Strange and his nemesis, Baron Mordo. I like the art, and the laser engraving is well done.

It was a bit tricky to get a clear shot, but they really are cool!

This scene from The Immortal Iron Fist #1 is illustrated by David Aja. It’s dark and moody, and the textured paper of the print feels nice and weighted.

This Dormammu pin is great! The contrast between the shiny gold and matte black accents works nicely. Dormammu is a new villain for me, since my knowledge of the Doctor Strange lexicon is pretty limited right now. His design reminds me a little bit of Ghost Rider, which is who I thought he originally was!

And finally, the spoiler item — the Doctor Strange Cloak of Levitation! It’s super soft at first touch, which is great. The collar has soft foam inside it so it’s comfortable to wear, and you can actually lay it flat if you don’t want it right around your face. The sleeves are my favourite part!

I might have to wear this to the movie next week.

There are sizes for the robe — mine is labeled as S/M. The length works nice for me and check out those awesome sleeves!

Like with all Lootcrate boxes, it unfolds and refolds into something different — I now have a giant replica of the Book of Darkhold, a grimoire first introduced in the 70s and a current plot point on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D!

It’s pretty cool! Mine is a bit banged up on the corners, but it’s big and I’m sure I can find something to store in it.

I was seriously happy with my first Marvel Gear + Goods box — the coasters and shot glasses are functional, the robe is a guilty geeky indulgence, and the other items were also high quality. This box is definitely a good box for a Marvel fan, and I’m so excited to see what theme is in store for January!
