Lego City Advent Calendar

I learned from last year to not delay in purchasing the Lego City Advent Calendar which appears to be sold out on Amazon. This year I purchased my son’s calendar at the end of September on Amazon to take advantage of Amazon Free Shipping. The 2016 Lego City Advent Calendar ($29.99) is still available at Target. Don’t delay if you want a calendar!

Update: You can still grab the LEGO calendars at ToyWiz or Magic Beans, while supplies last! Get them NOW, because they’re sold out everywhere else!

J, my eight-year-old, loved the Lego City Advent Calendar last year and wanted to do it again this year. He is serious about Legos.

It’s a beautiful winter village scene. My son was able to open all the boxes last year without the box falling.

Last year he tore a few of the boxes trying to open it. It is possible to reuse the calendar if opening with care.

He can’t wait for December to set up his scene. He may add in some of the figures from last year’s calendar.

J (age 8) decided that we should open Box 2 because everyone opens Box 1.

It’s a Lego mini figure! The inside flap has the directions on how to build the surprise. The surprise Legos are wrapped in a plastic box. There are 290 Lego pieces.

I noticed from last year that Lego will include one or two extra pieces in some of the packages. There are two face shields in this package.

She’s on stage and ready to rock at the Christmas festival. We will find out more of the story when we start opening up the calendar in December.

Last year was the first time I did a non-chocolate Advent Calendar with J. He absolutely loved it and opened up a new box every day. It created special memories for us because he always showed me his newest creation right away. We look forward to creating special memories this Christmas season with the Lego City Advent Calendar.
