Each box comes with a contents page showing the value of each item. This month’s box had a total value of $34.99 + a Bonus Makeup Bag!

The collection focused on the eyes had enough to really make them shine. I really liked that the Shadow and Eyeliner were coordinated, and loved that the purple shade sent my way made my brown eyes pop!

The travel sized handmade organic Forest Fairy Gardens Thickening Eyebrow Balm ($5) with a free brush was an interesting addition to my eye makeup routine. My brows are thick on their own, so this was my first experience with this type of product. It smelled a bit like Vicks Vaporub to me but definitely held my brows in place all day. It’s also cool that their site says the ingredients help stimulate eyebrow growth!

After a long night last night, and waking up with slightly poofy under-eye bags, I decided that it was time to try the Bunny Bath and Body All Natural Caffeine Under Eye Serum ($7). It smells like coffee A LOT! I rolled it onto my arm first to get a feel for its consistency and if my dog were a coffee lover, he would have liked it right off. It is made of 3 things: Almond Oil, Coffee Beans, and  Avocado Oil. I shook it up before using to redistribute the coffee and rolled it onto my eyes. I was a little  nervous about the item at first, since there are fine bits of coffee visible in the container, but was very pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it went on, and how effective it was at combating my eye bags. It didn’t hurt a bit, and I was careful not to get it in my eyes. I liked it and will continue to use this item on my less than optimal sleep nights.

The Deluxe Sample of Opale-Essence Vegan Mineral Shadow ($5) and full-size Honeybee Gardens Organic Effortless Eyeliner ($8.99) paired together beautifully! They lasted all day too! While the shadow did settle into my crease a little by the end of the day, I have to admit I didn’t use a primer or base coat on my eyes. Both went straight onto my skin and looked nice all day.

Finally, I finished off the look with a couple of swipes of the sample of Dab Herb Organic, Vegan & Gluten Free Mascara ($6). While I naturally have thick lashes, it did add a nice bit of additional thickness and color to my look. Unfortunately, by the time I got home at the end of the day, I had a bit of the raccoon eye starting to show under my eyes. After checking with their website, they do recommend powder on the skin under the eyes and applying a balm as a primer on the lashes themselves, neither of which I did. I’ll give that a go next time I use this organic blend again.

Here is my complete look with all the items above applied to my eyes and lashes! While I’m not a professional make-up artist, I think I did pretty good as a DYI-er.

At the end of the day, I enjoyed the look and was happy to have the exclusive  BKF Naturals Organic Makeup Remover ($3)  ready to go so I could wipe it all away. It was a little oily feeling between my fingers but did what it promised to do well. I usually use wipes, so this was a departure from that and seems to work just as well.

You definitely want to apply a primer first when using mineral eyeshadows. It enhances the wear time & can make the shadows stand out more.
