Herb Stop is a locally owned small business out of Pine, Arizona that offers the Aroma Box, a monthly essential oils subscription box. This card stock sheet gives you a detailed description of each of the oils.

Each oil is described and then it gives you an aromatherapy tip, a tip from Leilah (the Master Herbalist), a tip from Natalie (the other Master Herbalist), and any safety precautions.  There is a nice color picture of each herb and the details are easy enough for the newest essential oil enthusiast to under stand (I’m referring to myself here).  I am keeping all of these in a file for reference.  They have some great information!

Cinnamon oil 1/6 oz was the first oil in the box. You can get the full size 1/2 oz bottle for $9.40. Cinnamon oil is delightful stuff. It smells like warm cookies on cold nights, like sitting by the fire in a dark room watching Christmas specials and those awesome cinnamon brooms that pop up in all the stores during the holidays.

“The familiar scent of Cinnamon gives us a sense of warmth and is such a welcoming scent. This spicy oil stimulates circulation, has been used for weakness, relieving menstrual cramps, and as a tonic for depression. Cinnamon has earned a spot in this month’s Aroma Box because of its sugar balancing properties, which have become well known the last few years. Emotionally, Cinnamon warms the heart and aids the expression of our inner most feelings.  Cinnamon is a very powerful oil, make sure to read the safety tips.”

I liked Natalie’s Tip for this oil: “Add a couple drops to your favorite potpourri or make your own with pine cones or cinnamon sticks. The scent of Cinnamon will fill the room.” My mom used to make her own potpourri when I was growing up and would add the cinnamon oil to a Christmas mix with bay and wax myrtle leaves in it, among other things. She would also sprinkle a little cinnamon oil on pine cones to keep next to the fireplace for starting fires. This is really an “essential” essential oil.

The next oil in the Aroma Box was Lemon oil 1/6 oz.  The full size is 1/2 oz ($9.20).

“This beautiful and clean citrus essential oil is used by herbalists for several ailments including poor circulation, cellulite, lymphatic congestion and even acne. Lemon makes a splash in this month’s Aroma Box because it is not only refreshing but also may reduce bloating, especially with a heavy feeling after a greasy and sugary meal. Emotionally, lemon is refreshing and promotes mental clarity.”

Leilah’s Tip for this oil makes me want to go start the water for a hot bath! She says to add 3 drops of Lemon and 2 drops of Juniper to a cup of Epsom salt then add to a warm bath. That sounds so nice! I am going to put the kids to bed now (6pm isn’t too early, right?).

Juniper oil (1/6 oz) was the next oil in our Aroma Box.  1/3 0z ($12.99). The Juniper tree is an evergreen in the cypress family. The fruit is a little knobby berry (we use to throw them at each other when we were kids).

“When you think of Juniper, you may think first of Gin! However, this powerful essential oil has many traditional uses including water retention, cellulite, poor memory, fatigue, and lack of energy. Juniper appears in this month’s Aroma Box because of its use for overindulgence, obesity, and even gout Juniper berries have a long history of supporting healthy blood sugar levels.”

The Aromatherapy tip for this oil looked interesting. “Try blending Juniper with Cypress and Rosemary. Add this blend to your lotion to aid in cellulite reduction.” (Check the safety precautions before you try this!)

The roll-on for this month’s Aroma Box was Gluco Stability. The ingredients for the roll-on are Rosemary, Thyme, Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Chamomile and Cypress in a base of Pure Golden Jojoba Oil.

“Gluco Stability was developed by one of our students for her mother who has intense sugar cravings and is pre-diabetic.  She carefully chose essential oils that would help stabilize her blood sugar, reduce cravings and encourage relaxation.  Her formula has been received with great success!”

Whether or not this oil helps stabilize glucose it smells absolutely wonderful!!! It’s a deep rich scent that will open your eyes. My mom took one whiff and claimed it as her own. I may have to order myself another one.

The Aroma Box from Herb Stop is a subscription box that is always a great value, with the oils being worth significantly more than the cost of the subscription. (It’s only $19.99 remember.) And, at that great price it is a great product. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about and using the essential oils that are thoughtfully coordinated to specific uses in each Aroma Box.
