So Kawaii!

Love this cover art by cosu!

doki-doki-november-2016-2

The theme this month is Kawaii Cafe!

Each crate comes with a manga-style booklet to help you figure out what each item is (that means it’s bound on the right side instead of the left!).

The middle of the booklet contains all the information about the items. There’s a little comic and more fun stuff!

Everything in the November Box!

Exclusive Rilakkuma Sunglasses: These are so adorable!! Who doesn’t love Rilakkuma?! (Nobody who ever subscribed to this box, that’s who!) I will wear these all the time, and the UV protection information was labeled clearly on the glasses (this is super important for me!). Instead of a monthly shirt, Doki Doki will include a monthly wearable.

Baguette Au Petit Lapin: The first of many bread themed items in the box! Petit Lapin, a Doki Doki exclusive character, has turned himself into a darling baguette sandwich. It appears that he’s ham and cheese!

Croissant Pen: Well, it’s a pen that looks like a croissant!

Monthly Hoppe Chan: Oh my! So sweet! This Hoppe Chan is sitting atop a layer cake that’s covered with chocolate frosting, choux filling, assorted doodads, and a chocolate heart, all on a golden serving trowel. I love her iridescent pink cheeks – they get me every time!

Puchi Puchi Baguette Pouch: More bread! This puffy pouch looks like a baguette. It’s not the best quality (you can see the wrinkling on mine).

It has different printing on the bottom so it looks more realistic. This turned out to be a great case for the sunglasses.

Doki Doki Kawaii Cafe Chocolate Notebook: The box for this item was a little dinged up in the lower right corner, and I couldn’t figure out why!

doki-doki-november-2016-13

The box is super kawaii, except it should say zero calories – kawaii is calorie free!

Here’s the source of the box crunch! Someone’s taken a bite out of this choco bar!

doki-doki-november-2016-15

It’s a cute blank notebook. The outside bar is a nice rubber that looks like a chocolate bar, and it’s a great item to leave on your desk for daily notes that will bring a smile to your face! It may make you hungry for chocolate too!

Sailor Moon Sweet Mascot Re-Ment Blind Box: There are tons of variations to what was in the blind box – you can see a few on the right side of the box.

We got a Sailor Moon cupcake and petit four!

Someone’s taken a bite out of the cake! I loved that these phone charms came with lobster clasps – they’re so much more versatile than phone charms!

This was a fun month, but somewhat of a miss for me, with so many bread themed items. I loved the sunglasses but I thought the theming could have used more variety – maybe some coffee, tea, or cocoa items?

What did you think of this month’s Doki Doki Crate?

I’m still not 100% in love with the new art style on Sailor Moon Crystal; I still prefer the original series’ art.

I agree 110%! For me, it just seems to look somewhat blah, and not the iconic Sailor Moon.
