I love reading their quote of the month. I find it to be inspiring.
The booklet provides information on what countries are featured each month, the cause of the month, and information about the items included in the box. The October theme is Peru.
The cause of the month for October is REBUILD Globally. The three dollar donation will be used to create jobs by providing entrepreneur driven solutions.
The booklet also includes a description of the items in the box. I am unsure why there is a fourth item in my box.
Here are the items in the October Box of Blessings. My eye is drawn to the colors of the earrings. Beautiful!
Sanyork Fair Trade believes in stopping exploitation by respecting the local culture and traditions. They are located in one of the poorest suburbs of Lima, Peru and employ skill artisans and pay a fair wage. Their items can also be found on Amazon. Minga Fair Trade Imports works with artisans to ensure that they earn a fair sharing wage which allows them to invest in their own communities.
The Sanyork Fair Trade Two Toned Seed Bracelet is handmade in Peru using nuts, seeds, and fish scales. The seeds are dyed red and black and are on strung together to create a bracelet with an adjustable fastening. I will be using the bracelet a lot during the holiday season.
The Sanyork Fair Trade Clay Peruvian Earrings feature an intricate design. The earrings are lightweight and make a melodious sound when moved.
The beautiful clay chandelier earrings feature a traditional pattern of ancient Peru and are handcrafted and painted by hand. The earrings are colorful and add a bit of fun to your outfit.
Sometimes an item shows up when you need it. The simple adjustable Motto Ring reads “Just Breathe.” It’s amazing how taking the time to breathe makes a difference. The ring is lightweight and adjustable. I barely felt it on my finger.
It also reminds me of the song Breathe by Jonny Diaz, a Christian artist.
The Seed Bracelet is going to give my outfits a bit of a bohemian holiday look. I wore the Motto on my pinky finger because I wanted to keep the two words close together.
I also received a Dreamcatcher Friendship Bracelet that was not listed on the information card. The color reminds me of spring.
Now I am ready to skip winter and see spring again!
The October box contained beautiful jewelry that made me smile. The earrings are gorgeous! My favorite item is the ring which is what I need to remind myself to slow down and relax during the upcoming holiday season. One of the things that I love about the Box of Blessings is that the jewelry pieces are adjustable and can fit an assortment of wrists and fingers. Everything is appealing and met my expectation of design and color. The craftsmanship shows that the items are made by artisans skilled in their trades. It’s a wonderful box for those looking to support impoverished artisans and empower them and their communities while also support a monthly cause.
