Allure Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends deluxe sized product samples and is curated by the editors of Allure Magazine, who choose and test the products themselves. It is $15 a month and if you sign up for a year-long subscription, you will pay for 11 boxes and get the 12th free. The amount of items sent each month varies and you can earn a “referral bonus box” in each month that a friend subscribes using your personal link.

Each box comes with a mini magazine that gives tips on how to use the products, how much the full-sized product costs, and where to purchase. This month’s theme is “Party Central” and these items are designed to help you get ready to make merry this season.

I received 6 products this month: 1 for body, 2 for hands, 1 for the face, 1 fragrance, and 1 makeup item. The items were shipped in a plain brown box that contained a glossy red box inside and there was tissue paper and shredded squiggles for packing.

BonVivant Botanical Mask Pack in Aloe ($3) is designed to soothe and hydrate dry, sensitive skin. The first ingredient is aloe so I knew it was going to feel comfortable on my face. It had a light scent and felt cool and refreshing when I placed it on my skin. I waited 20 minutes and then removed and patted the serum into my skin.

Red Flower Icelandic Moonflower Moisturizing Body Lotion ($3.29) has a light floral scent and rubbed in quickly. Aloe leaf juice has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties while avocado and coconut oil leave skin moisturized and nourished.

Where has Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat ($1.99) been all my life? All those nights when I wanted to do my nails but didn’t want to wake up with weird indentations from my sheets. All those special events where I was afraid my nails wouldn’t dry in time. Those days (and nights) are over now that this product has entered my life! It smells really bad but works REALLY well! BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! There was a coupon (good until 12/31/2016) to buy one full-sized Seche Vite at Sally Beauty and get a free bottle of Seche Premier Colour Lacquer ($6.99) FREE. I received the shade Goddess in my box, one of the two colors sent this month (the other was Refined). I will be visiting Sally this weekend to pick up the other color with my coupon!

Here’s “Goddess” on my nails. I brushed on two coats and then followed with the Seche Vite top coat. I was amazed at how fast my nail color set! Plus, it is definitely a festive shade!

I love trying new scents and so I’m happy to have this miniature artwork that houses Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette ($6.31). This fragrance is a floral aquatic and is light and airy and inoffensive. It smells clean and lightly floral and makes a nice work scent.

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black ($5.43) is a classic choice for this time of year but for women of a certain age (like me) it is just too harsh and I don’t want to look like an old Goth lady so I will pass it along to my daughter who will LOVE it.

The tip was very fine so getting that cat eye should be a piece of cake!

My November Allure Beauty Box had a value of $27.01, which seems low for this box but some of the products were on sale at the time I did my review, and it’s still almost double the price of the box! I’m happy with the variety of samples I received this month and feel like they will help me get ready quickly and of course, they were all classic choices as well! This month’s box has me considering buying stock in Seche Vite.
