Whiskerbox October 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon

WhiskerBox is a themed monthly cat subscription box that features artisanal luxury items for your kitty. Four to six premium items  are  included which  can be “stylish apparel, stimulating toys, scrumptious treats, and specialty items.” Discerning felines with dietary needs can opt for non-edible items. A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. Whiskerbox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased.  The luxury kitty box ships free to the United States and Canada.

Whiskerbox items are tested by feline lifestyle experts. Smokey, the head feline lifestyle expert, was a stray rescued by his humans at eight weeks old. My kitties want to know how to apply to be a feline lifestyle expert.

There will be cat hair in my pictures because I had a hard time keeping Tiger Lilly off the box. I love the purple and white presentation.

I am curious about what will be in the box. I could tell as soon as I opened the box that it was a luxurious cat subscription box.

The October theme is “Skeletons in the Closet.” Little Lamb, Zelda, and Puss in Boots’ names are listed on the card. Zelda is not in this review because she is busy being a mouser at the farm. The theme card is adorable and is displayed in my eight-year-old’s room.

The Meow Menu is a delightful information card set up as a menu. The prices reflect retail plus shipping because WhiskerBox includes globally-sourced items.

Our first menu selection is play.

The Exclusive Skeleton Crisp Toy by FORMEOW ($10.00) is adorable with the two different fabric prints. Inside the Crisp Toy is organic catnip and crinkles. The handmade toy is the perfect toy for the kitties to have while celebrating Meowoween. They had fun chewing, hugging, and doing bunny kicks with the toy. FORMEOW donates 10% of their sales to help kitties in need.

The most adorable kitty print is on the back of the FORMEOW information card.

The Birbit Toy By Whiskers’ N Paws ($7.00 on card, appx. $3.20 plus $3.00 shipping on Amazon) was a big hit with the kitties. The handmade toy is made out of rabbit fur, feathers, and hemp cord. The kitties loved the toy especially the feathers.

Moving onto the taste part of the menu.

The Made in Canada Cloud 9 Egg-Sposive Cat Treats ( 1.2 oz, $9.36) are grain-free treats containing yeast, egg, and milk derivatives which the cats found to be meowvelous. The cats went absolutely crazy over the treats. Little Lamb carried the container in his mouth and shook it to see if there were more treats left.

The kitties enjoyed the Made in Thailand Weruva TruLuxe Steak Frites with Beef & Pumpkin (3 oz, $3.00 on card,$1.61 on Amazon). The purrfect selection for Meowoween, it was a tasty meal free of grain, carrageenan, and gluten.

One of the reasons that I like the Weruva brand is because I can see what is in the food. They had samples of it in the past and loved it. They were happy to try it again.

Time for the kitties to enjoy the Style Portion.

The limited edition Cat Couture Lion Mane Costume ($35.00) is incredibly adorable!

However, Little Lamb’s response to me trying to put it around his head was typical of my cats. They wanted to play with it. I do have a picture of one brave kitty that is wearing the costume further down in the pictures.

I am excited that my cats have finally received a cat bow tie! The limited edition Sweet Tooth Bow Tie by Sweet Pickles Design ($10.00) has a loop that allows it to be attached to the collar’s buckle. I’ve given up on cat collars because my cats come back from the great outdoors without their breakaway collars. I will find a way to show how cute the bowtie is on the kitties.

The human treat (appx $1.00) came in a small plastic bag labeled as a human treat. It was a delicious addition according to my family.

What did my kitties think?

Sylvester is a mild manner cat who enjoyed licking the skeleton crisp toy.

My cowardly lion was the only cat that stayed still long enough for a photo. They were more interested in playing with the Lion Mane Costume than wearing it. It must be all that hair.

Sylvester doesn’t want to give up his toy!

Puss in Boots swiped it from him.

Sylvester is happy to wear a bow tie. I used a ribbon which I tied loosely and removed after taking the photo. I need to buy him a collar because he looks so handsome with his bow tie.

Little Lamb feels he looks handsome too. He wants to know which kitty wore it best.

Puss in Boots rolled around with the Birbit toy. Feathers are his favorite.

Look who has all the toys!  Little Lamb chewed on the skeleton crisp toy while kicking the birbit toy.

Sylvester and Puss in Boots enjoyed their Weruva Truluxe cat food.

Tiger Lilly joined Sylvester and Puss in Boots when she found out it was snack time. All the kitties tried out the Cloud 9 treats including Garfield who choose to sleep right by the bed while I was taking pictures.

Sylvester is confident that you will select him as best dressed cat.

The kitties gave four paws up for the WhiskerBox. They loved their artisanal toys, delicious treats, and meowvelous style items. Every item was a hit with the kitties and the humans. Using my prices, the value of the box exceeded the promised value of $65.00 which is an excellent value for a cat subscription box. My favorite part of the box are the style items because we love dressing up our cats! The WhiskerBox is a great choice for cats that want to dress up, have unique toys, and enjoy delectable treats.
