Vegan Cuts has launched a quarterly makeup box! This box includes 4 or more FULL-SIZE vegan makeup products inspired by the season.

First look – there was highlighter powder everywhere. Uh oh.

The fall box’s theme is Fall Into Love!

We were sent four full-size items!

Ofra Illuminating Blush Stripes ($35?) The label on the bottom of the compact says this is “Illuminating Blush Stripes” but the packaging is completely different than the one shown on the linked website. This looks closer to the Dupethat Highlighter, in my opinion – I wonder if it was mislabeled? Vegan Cuts was kind enough to send me a new box, but the highlighter had once again smashed – looking on Instagram, I noticed that many people had the same issue, probably due to the fragility of this specific Ofra product. They offered to send out another, second replacement as well.

Bellapierre HD Makeup Primer ($75) This full-size primer applies similarly to my Smashbox primer and my Benefit primers – it’s smooth, silky, and applies evenly to provide a great canvas for face and cheek products. This primer is paraben free, too!

Au Naturale Creme Eyeshadow in “Ivory” ($20) This product arrived at the perfect time, since I just used up the last of my Stila paint pot. I love doing a lazy eye look with just a wash of shimmery creme shadow on the lid. This shadow is very sheer but builds up nicely without feeling caked on. I think it would also work as a brow highlighter or a cheek highlighter, too. It is formulated with organic essential oils to nourish the skin. Subscribers were able to choose one of three shades for their fall box.

Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Liquid Lip in “Gwyneth” ($24) I’m a recent convert to Juice – I love their daily moisturiser and the Summer beauty box included their eyeliner. This liquid lip is from the new Phyto-Pigments collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow! The pigments used in this line are all plant-derived, so they’re natural and safe for you and your skin. Subscribers had a choice of three shades to received — I’ve been hoarding darker lip colours for fall, so this was an easy choice for me! I like the colour but I’m not crazy about the scent/flavour; I’ve had to adjust to the lack of artificial fragrance/flavouring in vegan products. I wish there was something  like peppermint oil in it just to mask the “makeup” taste.

Swatches – the Ofra highlighter, Au Naturale creme eye shadow, Juice Beauty liquid lip.

The summer makeup box had a value of around $150 – I’m not 100% sure what the Ofra product is so it may be less than the advertised $35 on the website. Either way, for $40 this box is a great way to try a vegan, cruelty-free alternative to makeup. All of the items are full-size, which is awesome. I’m a bit disappointed that my box wasn’t packed very carefully (no info card and a damaged product) but the other products will definitely be used.
