Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 4-7 items ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skin care. Best of all, they are 100% cruelty-free! Monthly recurring shipments are $22.95 with free shipping in the USA (there is an additional charge for other countries). This sub is also available in 6 or 12-month terms that do not renew but that do earn you a discount.

Vegan Cuts doesn’t offer customization and sends items that are suitable for almost everyone. They promise not to send foundation or other items that match a specific skin tone and instead send makeup items that are as inclusive as possible with possible variations in shades. They also promise a value of at least $30 but have sent boxes that are significantly above that mark.

Everything in my box! My items were shipped in a brown cardboard box and were cushioned with shredded brown paper. Vegan Cuts sends deluxe “travel” sized or full-sized products and rarely sends single use packets.

There was a product information card that included a coupon code for a shop purchase and info on how you can win a free box by sharing your box on social media.

The flip side of the card listed each item and the retail value. It also gave the theme, which for October was “Leave Your Beauty Worries Behind.” It didn’t give usage instructions so if you are unsure how to use an item you may need to do a little research. Or keep reading, cause I did the work for you!

Was I the only one who thought Juice Beauty Green Apple Body Moisturizer ($2.63) would smell like green apples? It smells like a combo of lemon and self-tanner. Aloe, jojoba, and shea butter do the soothing while apple, grape, and lemon juice provide antioxidants.

I love just about ANYTHING with peppermint and EDEN BodyWorks Peppermint Tea Tree Natural Shampoo ($1.95) is my new favorite! It smells awesome plus it left my hair nice and clean and lathered well. The peppermint oil is supposed to soothe itchy scalps which always happens to me when the weather gets drier and cooler.

Palmetto Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask ($64) has kaolin clay to absorb impurities; coconut, sweet almond, and grapeseed oils to moisturize; and several plant extracts for their antioxidants. I used it before jumping in the shower (it’s easier to rinse that way) and it had a cooling effect on my face and I didn’t have any tightening with use. The directions suggest using it at night since it could make your skin photosensitive.

Revive Bath + Body Cold Process Soap Bar Slice in Patchouli, Litsea, and Lavender ($2.50) is handmade from vegetable-based oils and is gentle and mild. The scent can be enjoyed by men or women.

The All-Natural Face Vegan Lip Gloss in Frosted Berries ($4.60) is a mauve shade with just a touch of shimmer. The ingredients list is short (castor oil, Candelilla wax, mica, and oxides) and the gloss lasted a short time before fading away.

Here’s Frosted Berries swatched on my inner arm.

What a great box this month from Vegan Cuts Beauty! The products were all useful and I discovered some new-to-me brands as well. Plus, peppermint! I feel good knowing that “no bunny was harmed” in the making of these items and I feel like they are all effective too. This box had a value of $75.68, which is more than double the promised value of $30!
