TopMunch promises to take you on a trip around the world with their snack box! Each month features snacks and treats from somewhere in the world. Currently they only ship within the US, but I’m hoping to see them branch out to other locations!
There’s a letter from the founder of TopMunch, who curated the box. There’s some information about the month’s featured country, as well as TopMunch itself. This month we are going to enjoy some treats from Italy!
The reverse has detailed information about the four snacks included.
The first thing I pulled out of the box was a bag of Bruschettini. Bruschettini means “roasted over coals,” and has been likely around since medieval times. I love bruschetta, though I normally pile mine high with tomato, feta, and olive oil. These are olive-flavoured. I don’t like olives, so I will be taking these home to my parents’ for Thanksgiving as I’m sure my mother will love them!
Cookies! This is Galletti, an egg-less sugar biscuit. It has a very dense texture but is also quite soft and sprinkled with sugar. I opened this for a group shot at the bottom of the review – be sure to get a good look at the rooster design on them!
Taralli can be sweet or savoury – sweet ones are commonly glazed with sugar, while savoury can have all kinds of herbs and spices on them. The sweet kinds are also typically dipped in wine. Taralli looks like little donuts! The ones I got are black pepper-flavored – a nice, light seasoning.
It wouldn’t be an accurate Italy box without breadsticks! These are very long, flavored with olive oil and rosemary. They smell AMAZING and taste delicious, too! The bag is quite generous!
For scale, this is a side plate – on the top are cookies, and below are the black pepper crackers.
September’s TopMunch was great! All of the products were fresh and delicious, with the exception of the bruschetta which I didn’t sample myself. My favorites were the breadsticks and the Galletti. This box is a great way to sample treats from around the world that you probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy without visiting the country yourself. If you are a foodie or know one, this would be an awesome gift!

I would just like to say that I have been receiving this box for three months now and I strongly recommend it. Each of the three boxes I’ve received has delivered five full size packages of great tasting snacks from around the world. I really like that they tend more towards savory rather than sweet snacks. Most other subscription boxes seem to throw in the savory snacks as an afterthought. I also appreciate the fact that they concentrate on one country a month. I cannot say enough how wonderful their customer service is. Any question I have emailed has been answered extremely promptly and in not just a very courteous but also friendly manner.
