SnackFever is a monthly subscription box that delivers all your favorite Korean snacks, as well as other hard-to-find Korean treats. Each month, subscribers will get 5 to 12 Korean snacks and treats, depending on their subscription. Snack Fever is available in three boxes, the mini box, the original box, and the deluxe box, and subscriptions are $12, $20, and $40, respectively, every month. Going forward, the Snack Fever boxes will be themed. For September, Snack Fever partnered with YG Entertainment to bring you treats and a bit of K-Pop!

There was a fold out card in the box with a few YG Entertainment featured artists and a match game for subscribers. The card also had a thank you note from the SnackFever oppas. The word of the month is 가족 (gah-johk), family. Both Snack Fever and YG Entertainment view their companies and fans as a large family. For more on learning to read/write Korean, click here.

The box also included a coupon for the newly revamped merchandise site, www.ygpresents.com.  Check it out and get all of the newest gear from your favorite K-Pop stars.

I’m only showing information on the Deluxe box, but the brochure does include the contents of the mini and original boxes. (Brandy covers the Original box review.)  Click here to see all of our SnackFever reviews.

Paldo Kokomen Cup Noodles: This is a spicy cup of chicken ramyun (ramen). I love these cups because they are quick and easy meals.

Ottogi 3-Minute Curry – Mild: Warm the sauce packet in boiling water for 3 minutes and serve over rice or noodles for a quick curry dish. Curry is actually a favored dish and this version lends itself to the addition of fresh veggies or meat. Want it quicker than 3 minutes? You can microwave it for 2 minutes to save time.

Crown Caramel Corns Peanuts Snack: These caramel corn puffs are completely addictive! They were described as the Korean equivalent of Cracker Jack. They do have a lot of crunch and the caramel flavor is really tasty. The disappointing thing was the lack of peanuts in the bag. There were maybe a dozen peanuts – all at the bottom of the bag.

Nong Shim Shrimp Crackers: The red bag for shrimp crackers is iconic in Korea. In fact, shrimp crackers are so beloved that most Asian countries have a version. They are a family favorite! The crackers are shaped like French Fries, but very light and airy. This particular brand is one that I grew up with and still love. They have both a shrimpy flavor and aroma, so if you are not a fan of the shellfish, these will not be for you.

Lotte Harvest Black Sesame Crackers: These are thin, crispy crackers chocked full of sesame flavor. They have a touch of sweetness and are great alone or with a topping.

Orion My Gummy Fruit Snack – Grape: A snack pack of gummy fruit. These have a huge amount of grape flavor packed into them. They are very soft and hard to share.

Crown Sando Biscuit – Sweet Milk: Thanks to SnackFever, I think I’ve had nearly every flavor of Sando Biscuit now. These are lightly sweetened crackers with a sweet milk cream filling. I love that these are individually wrapped in packs of 2.  That keeps me from binging on them.

Crown Couque D’Asse – Strawberry Cream: These are wafer cookies filled with a strawberry cream. It’s like having a Pirouette cookie that is square instead of rolled. These are also individually wrapped, but that didn’t stop my sister from nearly eating the whole box.

Real Candy – Peach: Last month I got the orange flavor of this candy and loved it. Like the orange, the peach flavor was very concentrated. I am really liking this brand of hard candy.

Lotte XZ Gum: There wasn’t a description on the information card for this gum. When I did a little research, all I could find was that it contained menthol. This was interesting. Think of the cooling sensation and open sinuses you get from a menthol cough drop. That’s this gum. I think this would be great if I had a head cold.

Paldo Blueberry Aloe Drink: This aloe drink has pieces of aloe pulp and blueberry juice. I kept tasting grape juice in this. When I read the ingredients, there it was. This was really refreshing.

Seoul Milk Coffee Milk: Coffee has grown in popularity and now you can have coffee flavored milk. Although, I would say that this is more like coffee with a splash of milk.

**BONUS Items**

  • Krunk Stickers – Krunk is the hip-hop loving bear that represents YG Entertainment. These stickers highlight Krunk and some of his favorite things.

  • Big Bang Towel – This towel commemorates Big Bang’s 10th anniversary. Who’s your favorite member of the group: T.O.P., Taeyang, G-Dragon, Daesung, or Seungri?

Another great Snack Fever box.  The collaboration boxes this month and last have been so much fun for me.  I am so excited to see what comes next month.
