Satva Box is a monthly subscription box that sends natural beauty products at affordable prices. The word “satva” means pure in Sanskrit and the items sent will be free of parabens and other nasties. It is $14.99 a month with discounts on 3 or 6-month terms.

I received 5 products in my box, 2 full-sized and 3 deluxe samples.

I love product info cards and this one is helpful and gives the suggested retail value.

I’m not into the “fuller brows” movement but Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum ($16) promises to help fortify hair growth and make brows appear fuller and darker. The scent is herby and contains castor, argan, and jojoba oils along with vitamin E and plant extracts. NOTE: Satva suggests putting this on eyelashes but the manufacturer specifically says NOT for use on eyelashes.

Zaban Essentials Bare Beauty Glow Stick ($14.95) smells wonderful and leaves a barely there shine to the face or body. Contains moisturizing grapeseed, avocado, and flaxseed oils; shea butter; and nectarine extract.

Zoe Organics Cream ($18) is an ultra rich cream that doesn’t contain water and just a bit is needed to smooth over rough spots. Made with shea butter, coconut oil, and avocado oil, it is unscented and perfect for the whole family.

Andalou Naturals Instant Brightening Face Mask ($3.69) is a one-time use mask made with pumpkin and manuka honey and is supposed to improve dark spots, remove dead skin cells, and soothe the skin. It burned a bit at first (I’ve had that happen with other pumpkin masks) and then felt cool. My skin wasn’t red afterwards and looked pretty good, too!

The card mentions that the Root Pretty Tan Rose Eyeshadow is a surprise sample (no size given). This shadow can be applied wet or dry and has a pretty rose gold tone that is shimmery. Can also be used as a highlighter, blush, bronzer, or mixed with gloss and applied to the lips.

Here is the shadow swatched on my inner arm. The Zabana Glow Stick is swatched below that and didn’t really show up.
I was really happy with my first Satva Box! The items were all new to me, were free of weird ingredients, and most had a leaping bunny on their website. My box had a value of $52.64, not including the eye shadow. That’s very impressive for the subscription price!
