Petit Vour is a vegan beauty subscription box. For only $15 per month (or $23 if you’re in Canada like me) you receive up to five cruelty-free beauty and grooming samples. It is usually one color item, one hair or fragrance item, one skincare item, and one body item. A survey link is sent out upon signing up. Be sure to fill it out! There can be up to eight variations of the box each month. Boxes ship from the states and it took about a week for mine to arrive in Canada!
First peek!
The information card gives details on each item. You can purchase the full sizes in the Petit Vour Store.
Moroccan Beldi Soap ($5) I’ve never tried a product like this before – it’s made of saponified olive oil, which has the consistency of a thick gel. Once you apply it to your wet skin, it emulsifies (as most oils do) into more like a milk. It smells a bit herbal or medicinal thanks to the eucalyptus oil also in it. My skin felt clean but had that almost “too clean” stickiness to it after. The full treatment with this cleansing oil also includes a mitt which exfoliates and sloughs off dead skin, leaving skin super soft – sounds decadent!
Apoterra Tulsi Rejuvenating Oil ($7) This oil can be used as a body oil, bath oil, massage oil – the possibilities are endless! I’m keeping this one sealed to gift to my little sister, who is due in December and is going to need all the relaxation she can get! What’s cool about Apoterra is everything is made in very small batches, printed on the front of the bottle – you can then use the batch number on their website to find out more about your specific item. My oil was produced anywhere between July and August of 2016. The olive oil is from Spain, the Evening Primrose is from China, and the Lavender is from Bulgaria, just to name a few!
Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil ($1.50) Pai is Canadian! Wooo, represent! This sample is very small but left my skin feeling moisturized and smooth. The oil is designed to refine appearance of damaged skin and fine lines and is packed with Omegas from rosehip fruit and seed oil.
Red Apple Lipstick in “Rebel” ($23.50) I love red lipsticks. I love cruelty-free, vegan lipsticks even more because there’s nothing gross right around my mouth. This is a cool toned red and it has a bit of a shimmer/gloss to it.
Swatch!
This month’s Petit Vour had a value of $37, which is more than double the monthly cost. I loved that they sent a red lipstick, and the bath/body items were a nice treat as well.
