Loot Gaming is a monthly subscription box from Loot Crate featuring collectibles, apparel, accessories and more from the biggest and best video game universes. Each box will have $60 in items, plus a booklet/mini-mag and pin.

The Loot Gaming box for September 2016 had a BATTLEGROUND theme.

Battleground Poster: Instead of a mini mag (I’ll miss you – it was the best of the bunch), the box included a nice poster with the monthly theme art.

The theme details plus all item details were on the back of the poster.loot-gaming-september-2016-13

I really like the mini mag for me personally, but I can also see how it’s cool to have new posters to hang every month.

Note – this box started its shipping cycle about a week later than normal! I think Loot Crate was probably more concerned with pushing out the Gears of War 4 box out first before this one!

Battleground Coin Pin: Gnarly pin this month – I love the ace of spades on skully’s helmet!

Battlezone Shot Glasses: AHHHHH Battlezone! Did you play this on an Atari console? I did!

The one that says Battle Zone all the way around is my favorite, but the other one is great too. Did you know Battlezone is back on PS soon? This week soon? It’s also available for PS VR, which I’m going to need to try!

Dark Souls: Legends of the Flame #1 Comic ($3.99)

In a realm where hollowed champions rise and fall with the ages, where brave knights quest for absolution and bonfires blaze against the everdark, myth and legend will forever prevail…From the desolate worlds of Namco-Bandai’s critically-lauded videgame series comes this unsettling collection of all-new Dark Souls tales, written and drawn by some of the comic industry’s finest. Building upon the extensive lore of the franchise, this action-packed anthology is essential for all fans of the game.

A great intro into the story of Dark Souls with some very gruesome artwork!loot-gaming-september-2016-7

Fallout Vault Boy Shirt: All your Vault Boys Are Belong To Us! This is a great shirt and utterly familiar to anyone who’s ever played Fallout, thought about Fallout, heard about Fallout…

Dead Rising 4 Multi-Tool: It’s Frank West’s pocket tool from Dead Rising 4 – anything and everything is a weapon so this makes perfect sense (and is handy too!). The case comes with a belt loop on the back.

And a little LED light! Seriously! This is an awesome pocket tool and it made the set of tools I keep in my review room (I try to keep it slim).

Gears of War 4 Classic Lancer Replica: Speaking of games out this week – so is Gears of War 4!

loot-gaming-september-2016-10

This is a nice replica for a mini one – and it’s hard to see, but the little stand says Gears of War 4 on it too. Just like it’s larger mother lancer in the Gears of War 4 box, it maintains the adequate amount of blood and chainsaw-ery!

I thought September was a good month for Loot Gaming! A couple of the items were matched with 2 hot new releases, there was a great shirt & tool that would be at home in the Dead Rising universe, and a few extra items to round it out. Solid box!
